  1. Hi eater81 You sound really pissed off. I even wondered whether you might be an 'eater' of billy-goats gruff! but judging by previous posts, you're on the level. Hope you have a better day today.
  2. Although it is free woo, and I only claim to be a doctor at parties, in order to get people to take their clothes off.* *an example of some wibble
  3. Jamma, I have no idea whether this discussion is going to continue, but you appear to very passionate about it and so perhaps it will. Your enthusiasm and rigour are certainly laudable. However - and I have no agenda with regard to alternative medicine or the like - your tone in some posts across as hostile, aggressive and dismissive, all of which are suggestive of emotional rather than rational argument. You might consider whether Monica or others might be or have been more willing to engage in debate with you had you taken a less provocative line, and perhaps for future debates you might find it a more fruitful approach. An example - using the term 'woo-merchant' (although it is funny!).
  4. Hic! what?
  5. I completely agree! My hands have got terribly hairy, and it's taking me ages to brush my teeth in the morning. ;-):))
  6. I like the Herne, and have had some pleasant and tasty lunches there. Can I have low culinary standards too please, MW74? Without downplaying the reports of Mellors and others - after all, commenting on local businesses is one of the things that the forum is for, I think - I think it's good that Chris has come on and responded to the criticisms made.
  7. Uberfuckingbloody conference calls. What a pile of wankslipping trainsofturd arsewallop. 2 hours of my rapidly shortening life down the rat-writhing, pissdark cellars of nothing that is trying to communicate with consultants who are just trying to shaft you to get out of more work. They'll regret it, oh yes, I'll make them regret it, they'll rue the day they bollocksed around with Me. Moos On Fire With Rage. Ah. Feel better now.
  8. Well said, Sue. On topic, another vote here for the Lobster Pot. On the ongoing Locale/SiMangia comparison, I've tried Locale a couple of times, and with judicious ordering you can either have a slap-up special occasion meal, or a weeknight pizza outing and tailor the bill accordingly. Great pizzas, good salads, good risotto. I agree that some of the extras are a bit frighteningly priced. I tried Si Mangia recently for the first time, and perhaps inevitably after all the great reviews, was disappointed. The food ranged from good/pleasant (pasta with seafood) to poor (horrid starter, mass-produced dessert), so although it wasn't expensive it wasn't great. However, the service was indeed very good and friendly, and when they got the bill wrong, they were polite and apologetic and quick to fix. Have to admit that my experience was coloured by sitting on the terrace and being continuously smoked upon by almost every other table, so perhaps I'm not being wholly fair.
  9. Sucks that anyone would walk through a door opened for them without a smile or a thank-you (or both!).
  10. i'faith, was that a flying stone from ????'s greenhouse? Careful there, Quids, you might chip a tooth. Or tooth a chip.
  11. "people we don't like"? Speak for yourself, what an arrogant statement.

    Quiet room...

(Plaintively) I need a biscuit. If you really were Mr. Moos you'd understand. With chocolate chips. And hazelnuts.
  13. See what silly goats you've caught trip-trapping over your bridge, Rico? I don't think we need Annaj's grandfather to predict the ending of this 'southern fairy'tale.
  14. Jrussel is fishing hard, but who'll snap at his bait? Here fishy, fishy, fishy!
  15. Agree this isn't a Lounge topic. What would be the change? There are plenty of people in ED who've moved here from the North. Are you suggesting you advertise in the North Yorkshire Herald? Wanted - Yorkshire Men and Women (Pref Non-Smokers Or At Least Not In The Home) To Live And Work In East Dulwich. Must Be Looking For Better Life*. Must Have Spare Time To Waste On Internet. *defined as living in the South. Even though it's full of Southern poofs who don't know what's what.
  16. So... maybe it depends on how you define gay? My instinctive response to you James is to say that if you do or have enjoyed sex with women and also do and have enjoyed sex with men, then you are bisexual. But you might quite understandably turn round to me and say No, I'm gay - I define myself as gay, and therefore I'm gay. Does that make sense?
  17. DaveR Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Keef - your missing book is Dead Long Enough by > James Hawes > > Do I get a prize? Awww, man, how did you find it? You must have cleverer search criteria than I managed to come up with!
  18. Get back under your bridge! (but this time more nicely than last time)
  19. :-$ No, I'm not that girl, eek. I was just experimenting with the power of googling. Amazing. Have had no luck with Keef's book though.
  20. I think we all got bored of waiting, hence the spin-off into Western fantasies about Brendan in a corset and Keef sippin' a sasperilla. Think the role of Sheriff is going if you're interested?
  21. Do aristos live in Surrey? I thought it was all gin and Jags - the territory of the wealthy middle class man.
  22. Here you go, Mockers. Joe Panther
  23. Oh grief, can't believe I can't stay away from this one, but here goes. Government buildings are people's places of work, and places where people come to do necessary business. Recent legislation has dictated that no-one should be obliged to work amidst cigarette smoke. Clearly, people's homes are another thing altogether. On a related but incidental note, I believe you can no longer smoke in your own home if you employ people to work there. But there was quite a funny Alex cartoon on the topic.
