  1. The heat is simply crackling off you, Doctorrrr.
  2. I can see how you would think it might be general thread, but this is a specific local question - ie is this a real local school and fundraising event.
  3. Judging by a recent post by admin on a similar topic (see 'About This Forum'), it may have been done by mistake in a quick-round cleanup if someone thought it was a generic thread not an ED one - the moderator team don't have time to read all posts. Do click 'report this thread' and ask for it to be moved back if you're not happy.
  4. It's cute to see you two flirting.
  5. Anyone who leaves stuff outside a charity shop is asking for it to be pinched or scattered by foxes. Stop being such a lazy fkucer and bring it back when the shop's open, otherwise stop fooling yourself that you're doing anything other than flytipping.
  6. snorky?
  7. Took me a while, but my other half now does the 10.30/11.30 feed, while I go to bed early... could your daughter ask her partner to do the same?
  8. Oh yeah, whoops. *whistles airily*
  9. Hi-you might want to do a search for previous threads on the topic - plenty of commentary. Good luck with the move!
  10. Mick Jagger is famously money-oriented, and does nothing for nothing. But he doesn't set himself up as an arbiter of ethics. Bono is getting bad publicity because he spends a lot of time admonishing people and governments for not doing more to help others. Other than that, I agree with Mr. Ben.

Mick Mac, don't worry - I didn't get it the first time either. Had to get my friend to rennet past me again.
  12. Not deleted - it seems to have gone to the Lounge.
  13. 2Sheds, your original thread wasn't deleted, it's in the Lounge.
  14. Sounds an absolute nightbare. Sorry :*\
  15. How about 'Beauty? Then You Don't Need Us'. Or, less meanly, has anyone suggested 'Pure Beauty'?
  16. It's the way he wears his jacket, and occasionally a hat.
  17. HonaloochieB, *Bob*, katie1997, giggirl, Helena Handbasket and Huguenot. My lawyer says best not to mention T-- M--. I have already met lots of lovely forumites, who have profoundly changed how I feel about living here. Too many to mention but special mention has to go to the Moving J's, Cam's mum and dad and the Invisible Gurkha Pirate. Actually, I do see a chap around LL whom I like to speculate might be HonaloochieB. I shall never dare speak to him, though.

    drunks

I've noticed it too, though not drunk beggars. Everyone likes to be out in the sunshine! Would be nice if people didn't scream fukcing cnut at each other in front of kids but I'm not sure there's much that can be done about it.

What's the best cheese to use when getting a bear down from a tree? Camembert.

Didn't go, was desperate to become independent. Wish I had though - the chances of doing any proper travelling before retirement are looking pretty slim now. Hey ho.
  21. I think it distinctly inappropriate for someone to advertise their business on this thread - particularly since we are talking about a child's health - and am reporting it to the moderators for that reason. Quite apart from that, I completely agree with Saffron's post.
  22. I had my sons at Kings in 2007 and 2009, and both times the hospital was extremely busy but the care we had from the midwives on the labour ward and post-natal ward (and not forgetting the staff in theatre) was excellent: kind and professional. We weren't lucky enough to be with one of the midwifery teams - only 10% of women in the area are, though it feels as though a higher % of EDFers are - but the midwifery care from the King's team was really good, even though we HD not met before.
  23. Fuschia, you've been iPhoned again! This is a pretty obvious one, but here goes: keep a list near the front door of things you ought to have with you in your magic bag. Mine has:- - things never to go out without (eg nappies, bottle of water, mini bag with plasters etc.) and then subsections for different weather and different things that you'll have to do: - warm weather subsection - cold weather subsection - if the trip out will involve a meal - if the trip out will involve a nap And so on. You may not need it if you're not as much of a forgetful doofus as I am, of course, but it's saved my bacon a few times.

Reporting the messages probably more effective than posting here?
  25. Poor little lamb, and poor you. I hope things get better soon.
