  1. Yeah, she's more of a shire horse really.
  2. "So there's a market for bottling and selling the stuff?" Carling and Budweiser do well, so I guess there must be!!
  3. Naaaah 0 for me. ALthough it was briefly a 9 laughing at jackbollox
  4. Oasis have definitely been justifiably downgraded with a bit of perspective, but 'deeply unfashionable', well perhaps that stupid mop look is.
  5. database probably getting too big and needs a clear dow. Cue irate posts demanding their missing posts back.
  6. I dunno, whilst I get where quids is coming from, and I generally applaud efforts to make people feel welcome, I think he's wrong. For clique (and there is none) I think we should read the regulars or high volume posters. Without all the regulars this forum is just buy and sell with some added curtain twitching. Without them this forum would never have achieved critical mass and it'd still be thirty odd people taking the piss out of each other *sighs* and the low volume types wouldn't be able to flog or buy all that lovely stuff for free, JB couldn't reach out to his (soon to oust him) public, and just think how dull all those CPZ consulations would be without the EDF!! Actually the family room has generated it's own momentum, regulars and personality which is different to the rest of the EDF, though to be fair it suffers just as much from in-jokes, aggressive responses and trolling as the rest of the site from my limited experiences there (not to mention freezing us poor downtrodden dads out :( ) Pickle, love it!!!
  7. Microsoft, much maligned, probably a 7. Except that damn ribbon, easily a 2!!!
  8. it's the closest thing we have to bomber on moon era daily sport, so you're right, there's definitely ambivalence.
  9. I'm actually quite curious to know the answer. Any chance you could answer just one teeny ickle direct question asked of you...just once...pretty please :-)
  10. A Hate Index?, good work MM!!! I'm having a think and I'm clearly mellowing in my old age, the royals on masse barely register a 6, Queenie earning herself a 7 for unselfish if rather dull service over the years despite my instinctive republican leanings, though Charlie probably gets a 4. Tories in a general principal sort of way potter between 5 and 6 though I'm sure I can muster one or two to go lower, ditto labour. Galloway, he could probably get a 3 in good company with premiership football. Katie Price is a 0 though what she represents is pretty much 2. Paying booking fees on gig tickets (at a per ticket basis gggnnrrrrrrrkrkkhkrhrr!!!) is the only thing I can think of that gets a 1. Oh, and Tony Blair obviously.
  11. Obviously he thinks the whole thing is a "we have always been at war with Eastasia" ploy by Mossad to control the world, so irreleveant really. This was a rather interesting blog post about the political impasse in Greece. http://paulmasonnews.tumblr.com/post/22662269568/greekonomics-blog-preview-8-may-2012 He spells out three possible scenarios none of which seem too popular politically with the Greeks, which leaves one wondering if something more dramatic is likely. Given Greece's turbulent and not so very distant political history, could some sort of coup, whether a soft one as suggested, by increasingly active polical extremists or even the army, be possible? I dunno. What does seem likely to me is that an indefinite austerity in a vain hope that things will turn around soon (which is I guess our plan here) doesn't look like it'll wash for much longer in Greece and something's going to give. Hence "Greece, leaving the euro zone controlled, without withdrawing from the European Union." actually looks quite plausible, at which point Quids will doubtless pitch in with a teeny weeny "i told you so" ;)

    Great Gigs

Bah. Oh well, can you film it on your phone and stick it on youtube please gigirl ;)
  13. Simon. Huguenot is a two speed model. Off and Full On. It's actually quite entertaioning once you get the hang of things. Maybe we need an EDF instruction manual.

    Great Gigs

Oh my, how I'd love to see that. Do you have to become a member to have any chance of seeing it? The website is a bit unclear.
  15. I quite like the way Charlie Brooker put it in his column
  16. Victim of its own success, what can you do really? They should certainly consider an IP block for all asia addresses though, I couldn't believe I had to go all the way to Singapore just to pick up a free tea cosy!!
  17. Are you sure that isn't from the daily mash or Viz?
  18. I was actually quite freaked out when I realised I was rooting for Chelsea, a team I despise. Liverpool fans' reaction to how they are now perceived means they are fast becoming the premiership equivalent of Millwall (no offence PGC).
  19. Poor Hamlet, fall at the final hurdle again. Fingers crossed for Stevenage this week, well done for getting into the play offs especially having lost our manager to a rival, hope he's gutted from Ilford!! It will have been a fluid rise of meteoric proportions if we gain promotion. And well done the Hammers, cruised to the play off finals.
  20. evil otta, evil!!! Mind you there was something about bewitched, all squeaky clean, but juuuust a little bit grubby ;)
  21. Count me in too Rachel!!!!!!!!

wow! THat site is bonkers. I love this sentence. "The National Institute of Health has found that geo-engineering is directly responsible for neurotoxins found in human blood, lungs; as well as causing a whole host of neurotoxic conditions such as multiple sclerosis." It hasn't. If you click the link it goes to a hypothesis about "high level contamination by natural and industrial sources" of various heavy metals being implicated as a cause in clusters of MS. It certainly doesn't mention geo-engineering and is predicated on the "[consideration] that man-made climate change is a lie perpetrated onto the world?s populations by the global Elite and the UN?s IPCC. Scientists worldwide have come to the fact that the sun is heating up not only our Earth, but all the planets in our solar system". Doesn't bother to mention which ones or how we should differentiate scientists from being in or outside the nefarious conspiracy "designed to coerce Capitol Hill and the American public of ?truths? surmised by unscientific data". Bonkers frankly. The rest of the article follows suit and there are some nice links to an important message from David Icke
