Watch out parcel thief!
KidKruger replied to fatfightersforever's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Saw this guy down CP rd yesterday late afternoon, studiously scanning doorsteps from side to side as he slowly pedalled along. Had a black rucksack on - which wasn?t empty !! -
Pumpkin soup is the one.

They?re for sale at (what was) Franklin?s farm shop - or they were 10mins ago. (Talk to your mortgage advisor first tho 🤣).

Annoying words that have cropped up in our language

Wasn?t there a distinction between Mister and Master ? Mr and ?M..? ? -
Brian thanks for the loan of that equipment when you saw I was struggling to complete my bay front restoration, and thanks for the free advice and materials/process suggestions, made a massive difference and improved the final outcome. Well chuffed !!

You could try Linda Marchant, GojoRyu karate practitioner, she?s on t?internet. Has a school in Tooting I believe, but may be able to schedule bespoke sessions. I recommend her cos she?s an effective well-trained practical martial artist. Any bloke trying to mug her would have serious regrets afterwards !!

My dog will never learn to live with it, he shakes like an epileptic with fear, he doesn?t understand there?s no actual danger, his eyes say ?danger? despite reassurances from us and despite him never being harmed by anything to do with fireworks. You?d think he?d get the pattern, but he doesn?t. But that?s his and my family?s problem, not the problem of the firework-letter-offers. The firework-letter-offers have every right to do what they are entitled to.

Indian restaurants wouldn?t allow it, so it?s not an option. Pub restaurants are a bit more casual. However, I doubt Franklin?s would allow a dog - happy to be corrected. Anyway, Spart?s text seemed to suggest there is more at play than an innocent question (though I?m too naive to discern exactly what !).

Sounds like distraction. Separate issues. Pursue the issues around quality of work, your rights don?t get deleted because of some bun-fight over historic layout. Your rights remain intact, perhaps they need reminding. Could be that so many years have passed, with no complaints from other lessees, no negative impact to the rest of the block, that it?d be very difficult for any enforcement to occur. Even something stipulated in a lease or other agreement, if a long time passes with no challenge, in some cases the original rules become moot. I?d clarify what negative impacts the other lessees are concerned about, and if no negs it may be worth politely declining and leaving it to the rest of them to try and get enforcement if they?re so keen. It?ll be expensive for them and may well not be fruitful. What are their actual concrete concerns apart from simply protocol/procedure. Seems impractical if no physical problem caused by the 2003 layout.

Oh I don?t know that counsellors are to blame, these days it seems that any disagreement around lifestyle/politics/climate change/anything means direct confrontation.

Hardly surprising though - implement an unjust experiment, for the benefit of a very few (who happen to appear to have privilege), deny it?s negative impacts, obfuscate or misrepresent the data to justify your actions, get found out, deny/ignore allegations, meanwhile leaving those most affected to figure/fight it out while you whistle.

Depends what you mean by ?traffic?. Congestion ? Actual no. of cars ? The whole road network from EDR/Grove Vale down LL to Harvester and beyond is packed nowadays. Therefore there will be less throughput / vehicle count. That?s why CPR has now become one of the most dangerous roads in ED - drivers realise they can skip LL congestion and hurtle down a road with no traffic lights and only one Zebra crossing. Obvious alternative. If this is LTN success then it?s only a success for the street residents where the closures have occurred. It?s seems illogical to me that displacement is viewed as reduction, but how the Councillors work (and whatever devices have been operating in the background) I know not. Congestion has increased significantly in several places so I don?t see a win here. Not for the community as a whole, anyway.
