I am just referred to as Administrator, or sometimes Admin.

I am the Administrator. There are three or four moderators, they have all been on here (almost) since the beginning and fortunately they have not drifted away as their help keeps the forum running like the well oiled machine that it is. Most of the time.

Someone who says to another forum user, get "a terminal desease[sic] and rot and die then I can piss on your grave" is not welcome on this forum. Mikecg asked for his account to be deactivated, had he not he would have been banned anyway for that comment. I do not want him on here.

Sorry to interrupt. There have been a few posts recently where people have posted the personal contact details for individuals in a "here's their details, won't it be shame if something happened to them". I do not care if those details are in the public domain, I do not want that attitude on the forum. Please report any messages you see like that. As you were.

It is not a ban, s/he asked for his account to be deactivated.

It is to do with your internet service provider (ISP), another user with the same ISP had this issue, they seem to hold back on delivering EDF emails for some unknown reason then deliver them later at some random time. Sorry there is nothing I can do.

Mikecg has requested that his account on this forum be terminated, I have obliged. I did not want anyone to think that I had banned him.

The abuser had the username "tomcat1".

There is a lot that happens in the background of this forum to keep it running smoothly but here is a recent incident that you should be aware of. A user posted an unprovoked message directed at a regular user saying: "im watching you! I know here you live" They also sent a Private Message to that user saying: I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN CUT OFF YOUR PENIS, FEED IT TO YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS , MOTHER AND KINSMEN, @#$%& YOU AND YOUR FAMILYTREE Due to the seriousness of the threat of the messages we have passed all details onto the authorities. This is only the second time we have had to do this, the first time was due to racially inciteful messages being posted. Abuse of the forum and its users will not be tolerated, the forum is intended to be a fun and useful place for the people of East Dulwich and I want to keep it that way. We average about 2,600 unique users visiting here everyday which is a lot to look after and fortunately major incidents are very few and far between. Thank you to everyone for helping to keep the forum the enjoyable place that it is. Right, I'm off to fiddle some expenses.

I am afraid it is too tricky for us to adjust that break in the line length but we will bear it in mind next time we are under the bonnet of the system and see if we can find an alternative solution.
