As you can see it has been moved to the General ED issues section, it was originally posted in the Lounge area, probably because daizie is not allowed to post outside the Lounge for previous abuse of the forum. Sorry for the delay, Whynniard was (as correctly identified by SeanMacGabhann) AllForNun who had been temporarily banned from the forum for abuse, although that ban is now it is permanent.

SteveT will not be banned for comments to date. Tony.London.Suburbs will also not be banned for comments to date*. He has been warned before for taking discussions off topic hence he cannot post outside the Lounge. He has also been warned for not reporting an offensive and illegal post and instead saying "Admin will get into trouble for this, let's see how long it'll take to be removed". That mockery is not in the spirit of the forum. At the end of the day, if one person is spoiling the forum for lots of people then action will be taken, but people have to let me know their thoughts. I have had about six complaints about Tony.London.Suburbs in in the last six months, which is borderline and the situation is being monitored. Please remember it is not about censorship, is is about dealing with individuals who make the forum an unfriendly and unwelcoming place. That is not what I want the forum to be. *However if he refers to me as mate or mucker he will be.

Please let me know if you get approached by Louise or Gary, a local man with a van. They have been banned from this forum for falsely recommending themselves and in doing so they break the law.

No chance. People have been banned and told off for a reason and their bans/confinements will not be lifted for an "experiment". The only people who have questioned bans are those that have been banned; they broke the rules, they were banned or confined to the Lounge. East Dulwich specific posts should be in the ED Issues/gossip section. This is meant to be a fun and useful site and myself and moderators find it easier to moderate when trouble makers are not around, obvious really. A lot of hard work has gone into the forum especially behind the scenes and so we are not going to have a "free for all" period. Sorry Keef, probably bad timing but we had another legal threat yesterday, we get them every now and then but we do not bother telling everyone so that they carry on using the site unhindered. I agree with Mockney's point that it is pretty self moderation but I would emphasise "pretty", without moderation it would go terribly wrong. I would rather close it down than run it unmoderated.

Me and Mrs Mark are thinking of heading to Mexico in October, probably flying to Cancun and heading off down the coast for a couple of weeks. So far we've only been told to avoid the American high school holiday period, I've a Lonely Planet book in the post but was wondering if anyone's got any interesting recommendations they'd like to share. Unfortunately we do not cater for the surrounding area issues the same as the BBC news website the TV news do. Josh has started a discussion about it, which is in the "About the Forum" section http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?12,303078 (which was moved to that section because it was about the forum and not an East Dulwich Issue). It is a rule that was drawn up at the forum's inception and sorry if causes confusion.

I am putting a stop to this. When someone i.e. catloverkathy has a conversation with themselves as a different user i.e. vivien to slag off a business/organisation, alarm bells ring in Forum Towers. Take your issues to them, do not use the forum to falsely enhance your story.

When one is moderated one can be told off, warned, confined to certain areas of the forum, banned and similar.
