  1. nunsaunty and sonofnun (and some of their posts) have been removed because that user has been banned previously.
  2. You "bumped up" your message which means it gets automatically deleted. I have put it at the top of the list in the What's On section.
  3. The original question was asked three weeks ago and this is now off topic. Lounged

In answer to your questions: 1) The management decide what it to go on there. 2) The latter, "the info added at of thought from admin to users?

Why do you say that after all I have said to you i.e. all the warnings. I have asked you politely so many times to not act like you are on a building site. Take a week off. To everyone else, sorry but bigbadwolf will not be around for a week.

  9. Ok, I know it's Wikipedia but it says: Representing McKinnon in the House of Lords on 16 June 2008, David Pannick QC told the Law Lords that the prosecutors had said McKinnon faced a possible 8-10 years in jail if he contested the charges (there were seven counts), but only 37-46 months if he co-operated and went voluntarily to the US. McKinnon also claimed that he had been told that he could serve part of his sentence in the UK if he co-operated. He had rejected the plea bargain offer as no guarantee had been given by the Americans. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_McKinnon
  10. It was aimed at the general direction this thread is taking, apologies if you thought it was aimed directly at you.
  11. Please keep it on topic
  12. And on that note I am finally going to move this to the Lounge area
  13. Hi Glad you like the changes. If something is not and East Dulwich issue it does not go in the 'East Dulwich Issues' section Lost cats go in the 'wanted' section The changes are here to stay but if they do not work more changes may be made Advice wanted should go in the 'wanted' section Recommendations wanted go in the 'businesses' section (as they are recommendations for businesses and trades) Separating the businesses from the 'For Sale' and 'Wanted' sections mean that the latter do not get full of people looking for builders. Hopefully it will encourage them to search for recommendations first. I have moved this to the 'About this forum' section because it is about the forum. Let us know if you have any other feedback.
  14. Time to move this to the Family Room
  15. Thanks you louisiana, that really is appreciated
  16. Anything related to East Dulwich businesses post it in here. The most frequently broken rules which result in the removal/editing of ads: - Do not type the subject title in capital letters - Businesses must truthfully state they are based in East Dulwich and include their trading address. Failure to do this results in a deleted post. Multiple failures and/or lying results in a ban. - There has to be a connection to East Dulwich e.g. Someone from Madrid offering their holiday villa in Madrid gets deleted. - Do not repetitively post about you services offered, this includes continuously offering your services to people with "I've PM'd you mate" and "I can do that for you" messages. - Businesses can advertise once for free. Read the terms of use before posting. - False recommendations are illegal and action will be taken against those who try it on. - Suspicious / multiple recommendations about a tradesmen will be removed. Unfortunately we do not have time to check up on a lot of ads to find out where companies are based or to tell them not to post about their plastering/building/van/photography/nannying/plumbing/cleaning services everyday. We do try and contact them but there is sometimes just too many of them for us to cope with, so all we can do is remove their post. Please refer to the Terms of use http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?12,11 for more. Thank you.
  17. Not sure when but very soon.
  18. It is only myself and the moderators this does not automatically happen to. Changes we make sometimes do not say "edited by..". The reason is that when I correct posts, such as the missing bold tag or making TITLES ALL IN CAPITALS not capitals, having [edited by Admin] would cause unnecessary confusion. It we edit our own text however we do add [edited] so as to not cause confusion.
  19. Please stay on topic (some irrelevant post removed)
  20. Time to move this to the Lounge
  21. It's a legal requirement to log internet traffic and the Terms of Use for this site states "All posts to this forum have their IP logged which means that, in extreme cases, the person who posted a message can be traced. " Please also note it is only the original poster who can request that their thread/discussion is closed/locked.
  22. Exactly right HAl9000, the original title was not descriptive enough and slighly alarmist so I changed it. I tend to place my textual additions in brackets.
  23. Lounged (not East Dulwich specific)
