To be honest, the Ukrainians deserved to lose for being a miserable bunch of gits throughout. Who wants to watch a match of any sorts when all you can hear is booing? I get the point of it, but it just brings a air of shitness to the whole proceedings.

Don't be dismayed, Pibe. You must keep trying. With lots of time, some careful study and years of patience you should at least be able to grasp the basics of this complex game.

It's the eyes. Something about the eyes. And the neck is suspect too.

If you do know anything about Hansen's face though, I should be pleased to listen.

Does that include the year or so before you cottoned-on..? You know.. Before I started making it really, really obvious? Guess not. I think I should leave it now though. Deep down I have a nagging feeling it's not really fair.

You just don't understand, Otta. Puffing around the local school playing field playing field amateur football on the weekend gives you a unique insight into the professional game which no-one could hope to surpass. Anyway.. Back to more pressing questions. Has Alan Hansen had a bit of work done since.. Well.. since the last World Cup?

I always wondered what it would be like to see somebody repeatedly tongue their own anus in front of a bemused crowd. Now I know. With a better-than-50% chance of any drawn teams Having been to war with each other within the last century, the European championships are blessed with that extra subconscious (or not) frisson that the World Cup often lacks. Adrian Chiles though.. Toby jug of warm piss. 'Nuff said.

  18. I think it's fair to say that cross-dressing helped secure him The Turner. But it's not as if he's a landscape painter who cross dresses to hit the headlines. Who / what he is - is reflected in - and a part of - what he makes. Not many people work on their gimmick for three decades.. just in case they get famous. His stuff doesn't do much for me, but 'ee's just a bloke in a dress ineeee' is poor.
  19. There used to be a couple of cab offices in Clapham that sold weed upstairs. The fact that they were called "Such and Such Cabs" meant that they were allowed to continue their business unmolested. However, were they to change their name to "Clapham Ganja Services", it's more than likely that they would have had a visit from the law. Hugs is right in respect that TPB's raison d'etre is to stick it to The Man. And as such, The Man has responded accordingly. It's a natural conclusion and a predictable result. They asked for it.. they probably wanted it. Now move along.
  20. The ship wouldn't be a bad choice - but if you're looking to make the headshot then I think you need somewhere with a little more elevation.
  21. The internet is no longer some giant sacred global information church administered by beardy one-love computer priests. When you buy a newspaper (if anyone still does) - you don't expect or get neutrality. You make your choice of rag based-on what kind of information you know they dish-up. If this is the way it goes with ISPs (and I've no idea whether it will) then people will have to choose what they want and who dishes it up accordingly, just like they have to do in every other area of life. Those who demand the ultimate browsing freedom can choose Mandela ISP and seek truth and enlightenment. Those who mostly want The Weather and all pictures of ladies to be dressed from the neck up choose Titchmarsh.
  22. Especially considering the amusing hissy-fit demanding facts.. just a few pages ago..
  23. That said, I'll certainly miss the place.
  24. The Pirate Bay is no more flying a flag for global truth and enlightenment any more than a man on the pub with a long overcoat is flying a flag for lovers of quality timepieces and knock-down prices. The owners have made millions by selling stuff that doesn't belong to them - to people who don't want to pay for it. If you don't fence stolen goods, there won't be an issue. If you don't buy stolen goods knowingly, there won't be an issue. No blocking, no cavity searches, no nothing. Trying to turn it into some kind of ideological argument is pure bunkum!
  25. Surely that ought to be: Who ye gonna call? Ghoʃtbuʃterʃ
