I did try Ronseal yes, but TheMissus found it a touch on the dandy side, if you catch my drift. So I've gone back to a mixture of Castrol GTX and soot.

It depends. If you're a planning of tagging the front of my house is some pointless scrawl whilst I'm sleeping unawares, then probably not. If you're an artist, creating something which I deem to be of worth, and you have my permission, then go ahead. If you're incapable of understanding the difference, then the ignorance is all yours.
