  1. I remember the good old days when you could park your car in the middle of the street with all the doors open and the engine running, go and have lunch with a friend and come back two hours later to find the engine still running, the windscreen washed and a fifty pound note tucked under the wiper. I blame a breakdown in family values.

  3. It's got to be Andy Murray to win. I don't know what it is, call it charm, call it charisma.. but that boy can light up a room just with his smile.
  4. I haven't 'beaten anyone off' with a sh1tty stick as of yet - but I live in hope.

  6. Give me some credit, Daizie.. I do make an effort if nookie is on the cards - More often than not I give them a light airing by parting them slightly and resting them upon the sill of an open window.
  7. Heavy notes of Castrol GTX.. with just a hint of scrotal sweat?

    Weird indeed..

    Fight at EDT

Police have confirmed that 'the moonlight' was not involved at this stage, but are appealing for 'the good times' to come forward and help them with their enquiries.

    I blame 'the boogie'.

Bring back national service, hanging, coalmines and cholera, that's that I say.

And on a Saturday night too. Unheard of. Never happened 'back in the day'.
  13. I'm interested in hearing their squabbles. This is supposed to be politics, not some warm fuzzy giant PTA meeting where everyone drinks tea, eats digestives, listens sympathetically with cocked head to other points of view and then finished with a group hug. I want petty squabbling, backstabbing, smear and lies. I want it here, and a I want it now.
  14. Are you into double figures yet, Mitch?
  15. VLC is a good call. It will certainly widen Andy's options for viewing high-quality videos from, say, Scandinavia or Russia. The WMV player (flip4Mac or something, I remember) is v useful. I also downloaded a FLV/SWF app which I needed as well.
  16. Ah well, it sounds like an OSX version of MS Office will probably fill in any blanks.. with zero extra-learning required. I'm no expert on the video codec front but manged to muddle through by downloading missing codecs (to play WMVs or whatever) without spending money. Some video dudes on here will know more, I'm sure. Some video plays in one browser but not another, so when you're viewing your web video content (*coughs*) occasionally some stuff might play in Firefox but not in Safari etc.
  17. Most Mac owners fall into two categories: Those that have them for work, in which case they ought to know what they need. Those that have them because they just fancied one, in which case the bundled software will probably do. It's only vital if you need it. What did you buy it for?

Unfortunately that would require an interfacing of money with location of mouth. Rest assured though that, somewhere, a giant printing plant, working 24/7 is still failing to meet demand for this literary goliath, whilst those who cannot write for shit can only quake with fear and wonder.
  20. I love "The Empire Strikes Back" but I'm not sure I quite like it so much now that Boba Fett has suddenly turned-into a Kiwi.

    Tiger Woods

Do you think she had to go and find a golf club to free him from his car? Or, er, do you think she, like, sort-of already had it in her hands as he, you know, ran out of the house and tried to escape at high speed? (giggle)
  22. Voting for the constituency candidate, based on ability etc. It's a nice idea, but fairly low down the list of reasons which decide how people vote in a GE. In most cases I'm not even sure it would make the top five. However, in Harriet's case I think it might make the top three.
  23. There was no choice in the matter. When I went upstairs to read a story, Channel 4 News was on. When I walked back in, there it was. An angry red bell-end, looking at me.
  24. It's 8.24 and I've just seen several close-ups of an inflamed bell-end on Channel 4. Call me old-fashioned, but..
  25. I'm 'on point' this evening. I'm looking forward to making a few more enemies with some more ill-chosen words.
