  3. Pack it in, we're only halfway through November.

  5. Have you tried to get customer service in Homebase? The only areas of 'specialist knowledge' the majority of their staff have are in nose picking, hiding in the warehouse thumbing texts ten to the dozen, waiting for their GCSE results, and pretending they haven't heard their name called over the tannoy when you want to get some bloody paint mixed.

I have a website for the purposes of work. It's all out there. But it's up to me to decide what trail to leave and I have decided not to join the dots. So my identity rests in the safe hands of the Admins on here and, er, someone from Sydenham. (*gulp*)
  8. It's a fair question. Me and a friend were discussing piss-poor motorcycles which we'd been unfortunate enough to own - and he happened to mention the GN250 as a worthy contender. I was looking for a picture of it.
  9. The Bikerz of SE22 seem to be a quiet lot. I seem to remember someone else trying to organise ride-out / meet-ups some time back but interest was minimal. To draw your attention away from the point of the thread, and for no reason whatsoever other than it having made me laugh, I draw your attention to the top two 'comments' in . You must read the whole of the top one first to get into the 'zone' before reading the second one.

  11. Shame the stupid thing never starts.

    X Factor

Well clearly 'music' was the real winner this week. We spent most of time trying to remember if Brian or Roger was 'the clever one', and the rest of the time mourning the loss if Freddie (though his spirit lives on - at the Co-Op on Forest Hill Road)
  13. My bike of choice is one that is least likely to get nicked, doesn't matter when someone pushes it over and costs no more that ?60 to insure. All other considerations are negligable.
  14. I can't believe all these muppets who buy their radiators in B&Q, thinking they're getting a bargain! I buy mine in bulk, by container load, delivered direct from China. I admit it's slightly inconvenient having to store them around the house until required, but I've saved a fortune.
  15. I was slightly in error. I meant to say 'general soopadoopasportsbike ownership', not general ownership. I think they're actually slightly safer in London than in other parts, because you can't go fifty feet without having to stop a lights (though I'm not sure if spending half an hour each morning hunched over with your face in the clocks, doing 10mph is a great look). But where I used to live (oop north) the local Bike trader mag consists mostly of bikes capable of 160mph with five previous owners and 2000 miles on the clock. Not suprisingly most of the biking casualties in A&E (lying back watching ?500 of new riding gear getting unceremoniously scissored-off) were all in their early twenties and had only been riding for a very short time.
  16. I'm not talking about you, rcmfadsmf.. there's no need to flash your biking credentials. I believe you. You're one of the good guys. Just a general comment on general motorcycle ownership generally. Can we at least agree that the ones with a 'roof' on top are just plain wrong?
  17. Sunday afternoon - CHECK Passed test last week - CHECK Firebreathing race-pedigree knob-rocket with 200 miles on the clock - CHECK Sunglasses - CHECK 'Roof' lid - CHECK Fresh out-of-the-box leathers - CHECK Vroom... (*crash*)

What's > your point, caller? I've no doubt this is true. You're in the clear. Rest easy. But let's face it, the majority of sportsbike owners are mostly interested in cock-posing at the lights / wrapping them around a lamp=post.
  19. I ride a Yazuki EnormoBlast 4800. I've tried a lot of machines, but I feel you really need in excess of 140bhp if you're to get away from the lights quickly enough. More importantly, I always like to be the first the arrive at the next set of lights fifty yards down the road.

That's ?200 you can put towards your next skiing trip, comrade.
  22. I don't mind paying a leetle bit more for stuff from local shops, because it's nice having local shops for local people. And a visit to the 'Old Kent Road Industrial Estate' makes me want to slam my balls in the fridge door repeatedly just to give me somthing else to think about. But within reason. Is it time I mentioned SMBS's frozen lime leaves again?
  23. lol, u r so rite, Kel
  24. Are all discussions in the drawing room prefaced by painfully conceited OP, or is this the first? Excuse the question, I'm new.
