  1. I remember it. I always thought the 'Dungeon Master' was a bit hammy. I was more of an 'Adventure Game' man myself.
  2. They all like the taste, deep down. Come on, home chefs, own-up: we've all slipped a few cheeky cubes of pancetta into the 'vegetarian option' and fished them out before serving. They love it.

    none

Maybe Leon discovered that the missing pound had accidentally slipped into the 'Johnny Pocket' of his jeans - it had all been a terrible misunderstanding.
  4. I wrote a mediocre song, which a celebrated director liked and decided to use in their Oscar-winning film which was nice.
  5. If you choose to do a job that requires half an hour of training, you can't really expect a company car and early retirement, can you?
  6. The Nunhead Paradox Starring: Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Meryl Streep and Minnie Driver. And, er, Ernest Borgnine.
  7. The more I hear about this Nun Head place, the more confused I am. An affordable, pleasant and on-the-up place to live? A desolate, tumbleweed-strewn and forgotten backwater? Which is it?
  8. Perhaps 'Mr Topper' should branch-out into the lucrative waxing business? 'Mr Front Bottom'? ?6 per chuff.

  10. Let's have a whipround. Put me down for a tenner.
  11. AllforNun Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > mm small village like parade of shops centered on > a small green surrounded by some nice old pubs - It sounds divine. Where did you say this was again?
  12. Couldn't we have a CentreParc - in the middle of Goose Green?
  13. I'm not Vegetarian, but I was fortunate/unfortunate enough to step out with a succession of vegetarians, none of whom seemed to be able to cook anything worth eating (Women! Sheesh!), so I have had my training, veg-wise. Nowadays, despite have 'struck gold' and bagged an omnivore, I suppose we still Go Veg two or three days a week and wouldn't want to change that. But when I eat out I like to order something I might not be able (or be arsed) to cook at home - and vegetarian food in restaurants is generally so unimaginative that it's just not worth risking it.
  14. If you haven't been, you must go to Kastoori in Tooting and order some of these: SLURP
  15. Aw c'mon.. if you're all so.. awkward.. as to demand vegetarian food, surely you ought to be happy with a tray of roasted vegetables with Cheese Of The Goat plonked on top? If that's not good enough, drop by my place and I'll make you some fresh Spinach and Marscapone dumplings, crisped-up under the grill with a bit of parmesan and served with a red pepper and chilli sauce mmmmm
  16. No problem. Anytime. I don't have many requirements for leaving a tip. But actually having seen the person in question is one of them.
  17. Tipping binmen is just idiotic. Their job may not be the most glamourous but it's a piece of piss. A day of training ("If it's not in the bin, don't take it") and you're away.
  18. Is there any word on the quality of the Booteeki Santa? Personally, I hope he's ruddy-faced and smells of whiskey and Park Drive fags.. but I suppose he's probably some skinny vegetarian handing out gift-wrapped energy-saving light bulbs.
  19. Tipping the binmen. Genius.

  22. The problem with placing too much emphasis on architectural merit is that if you're not too careful, you'll end-up living on Camberwell Grove (in an area full of people you despise), posting furiously on the website forum of an 'architecturally inferior' neighbouring area (full of people you seem to want to talk to).
  23. Maurice, does this mean that you'll be formally withdrawing your request for The grove to join East Dulwich? I'm intrigued as to why you've spent the last however many months sucking-up to SE22 without having actually been here in many, many years. Bizarre.
  24. My view is that any change in policy is an impossibility.
  25. lozzyloz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are you suggesting that controlled drugs should be > available on the black market for recreational use > and that the responsibility for taking them lies > with the user? That wouldn't be a suggestion - that would be the reality you're talking about there. And it always will be. I have no suggestions that will ever come to pass. Cannabis will probably waver around the periphery of legality - but as for the rest - forget it. Nothing will happen. No government want be seen as 'soft on drugs' any more than it wants to criminalise several million of its electorate in one fell swoop.
