  1. Livers tend to be on the mend by Thursday or Friday evening. It's a medical fact.
  2. What's so special about November? (apart from you setting foot in a pub again)
  3. A pedestrian crossing is not always safer than a zebra. What we have now is a temptingly dashable narrow bit of road with an interminable wait for the green man to appear. Where are all these parents who want to give the new crossing the thumbs-up?! I'm one. I don't.
  4. I should think you're well in the clear there, Spangles. But.. Assuming Alan has merely gone home and not wussed-out on us, we shall hopefully find-out exactly where 'the shit bit' is tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

And I thought I was the only one. I have often thought of bursting in on the thread and banging some heads together, but it would have been like treading on a child's ice lolly and laughing in his/her face.
  7. I dunno, Spangles. Chip on their shoulder?
  8. There does seem to have been an influx of Nunheaders on the forum of late, all shouting the odds in an "I live in Nunhead, yeah, so what?" kinda way.
  9. Very disappointing. Mediocre food. Crap service. Shame as the interior is interesting. Palmerston is a much better bet, food-wise.
  10. It's hard to imagine television before 'Millionaire' or 'Big Brother'. But it did exist. Someone had to come-up with the ideas. Then the rest of us have to suffer the re-hashes and copycats for the next decade until someone else comes-up with something new.
  11. In all seriousness... If anyone can come-up of a genuinely original and workable TV format, a small fortune awaits. No excuses about 'not knowing the right people' or 'not being able to get your foot in the door'.. TV production companies are crying-out for THE NEXT BIG THING, delivered to them on half a side of A4, written in biro. They're crying-out for it, because it's so bloody hard to come-up with anything. You can probably count the number of true groundbreaking formats on but a few hands (yes.. articial or not, Alan, before you say it) So come-on.. let's have it! I'll even present it for you.. we can come to some.. arrangement.. ha ha
  12. Certainly not! I wish them well in their enterprise and look forward to pitching to do the music at some point in the New Year.
  13. You could respond, but C4 wouldn't get to hear about it. The posting is from an independent production company, not C4.
  14. Spangles30 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The point being Bob? Just a bit of fun, Spangles. See earlier in thread. Actually, don't. It's not really worth the bother.
  15. All aah know ees it shure look reeeeal purdy in that thur chandy-leer shaap.
  16. Humbug, Ganapati! The term 'Hillbilly' pre-dates white settlement of America. I think.
  17. I don't think 'Hillbillies' are defined by their geographical locations (geological ones, perhaps?) Therefore (technically speaking) it would be possible to be both Cajun and Hillbilly.
  18. Just one bottle, Michael. And no-one was allowed to open it. Someone from Foxtons was there, waiting to take it back to the office once the party was over.
  19. Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've never been to a cajun brothel, would you > recommend it? Not really. It involves men with missing teeth and squealing like a pig. Not recommended.
  20. Well lookee here.. I resisted this thread for a while (you know.. it's about bags) but it certainly seems to have come to the boil. I've learned many things. I have detailed knowledge of Chav's contraception choices. I know I wouldn't want to be trapped in a lift with Dom'anus unless the 'summon help' button was in order. I see 'Foxtons Law' in action (whereby no thread is truly up-and-running until Foxtons has been brought into the equation. As for the bags, I'd feel like a bit too much of a tit to carry one, but good luck etc.
  21. I too have possibly heard some things which may (or may not) mean something to some people if and when they may or may not occur. Does anyone else know anything?
  22. Andyng Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > All the agents above are chain agents > anyway. Jeez, Andy..! Really?!
  23. Yes! Let's take ED back to the days of the friendly local non-chain estate agent.. you know.. Haart, Winkworth, Bushells etc. The good old days.
  24. Thanks for that, Heretostay. And the non-Foxtons estate agent you are connected to is...??
  25. Hmmm.. well, since you're pressing me on the matter.. Putting aside the genuine bonhomie, goodwill and usefulness found within these pages for a moment... I find the jealousies, grandstanding, insecurities, bravado and self-importance exhibited here and there (from time to time) hugely entertaining and (when deserved) I enjoy piquing those that exhibit them - by whatever means are most appropriate. I thought that would have been obvious, but perhaps I overestimated you. Disappointing. It is always done with a wink though, even if I don't add a ;-)(so that morons can still get the gist of it)
