  1. He has to put that 'egg tooth' to some use I guess.

Southwark is inner London, but I don't think you'd class Dulwich as anything but suburban in nature. Hence Inner London suburb. None of this helps Louisa find a pole-and-line caught tuna with rocket on artisan baguette in St Kilda though.
  3. Louisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- Peace and tranquility, priceless for me. Is that why you live in a crowded inner london suburb, praying for a Boots The Chemist?
  4. Yeah, she's the beneficiary of beyond reasonable doubt. Better that (generally, for everyone) than the alternative - convicted on grounds of 'I reckon she probably did it'.
  5. Ditch the usual 'repellents' and order in some Avon 'Skin So Soft' Good enough for the soldiers at Faslane.

It's like an annoying old relative who pretends to 'magic' a coin from behind your ear every time you see them - and then congratulates themselves on their hilarity. 'Yummy Mummies and Tarts'. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! Piss off.
  7. Perhaps, Pibe. Conclusion still stands.
  8. I've been monitoring jackangel's contributions carefully over the last few months - and have now come to my conclusion. Bell-end.
  9. The Great British Holiday
  10. Louisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Disco and House cannot be compared. Different age, > different musical styles. Word, Lou. Can I have a sip of your water, please?
  11. A 'community cinema'? Isn't that school stacking-chairs, cups of orange squash for 10p and the local geography teacher struggling to change the reel? I hope it's a proper cinema, with comfy chairs and Malteser grab bags and suchlike.
  12. Sounds like it might be time to update your collection there, Lou. Or move it forward a little? Into the 1980's at least maybe?
  13. I'm crossing my fingers for a back-to-back medley of 'Saw'.
  14. I'm sorry, but there's no room for this kind of rational, common sense type post - delivered by someone actually connected with the event itself. Let's get back to red-faced bloodvessel-busting wailing moronic hyperbole asap please.
  15. Everyone knows Spaniels are cruel and eat their young etc. As a WC-only football viewer, personally I'm really enjoying not seeing the same old array of Engerlish faces underperforming in their usual lacklustre way. Just seeing Lampard sitting on the bench was enough to put a dampener on things. If they could just ditch that potato-headed Wayne guy I'd be a happy man.
  16. That's true, but with five neighbouring gardens which all have bindweed here and there, tracing back to the root isn't really an option! A bit of intermittent ripping when you're tending to other stuff is all it takes.
  17. Yeah, it's just bindweed No trouble - just rip it out whenever you feel like it.
  18. Giggling over a double-ender with a large glass of pinot G; home ?12 lighter with cherry nipple gloss and some lube testers. It's all a bit 1997.
  19. Our bin is placed quite close to the front wall. It would be quite possible for a passing hobo to reach over and bin-dip without placing a foot on the notable front path or trespass on the property as such. Where do we stand on the legality of this? Before we break out the blunderbuss and pepper them both?
  20. (places cushion on lap)
  21. I'm impressed so far: strangers, gyppos, trespassers, skanks, entrants, drifters. Might I suggest - 'rogues', 'vagrants' and 'ne'er do wells'?
  22. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not really caught much nordic noir, does Let The > Right One In count? I was just about to mention that, but assumed it was excluded on a technicality. Really liked that film. One problem with The Bridge was it attempting to stretch beyond its budgetary means. One too many scenes of 'trying to recreate an 'en-force rapid reaction sequence' with two extras and half a helicopter.

Or > Bergen (nordic but not noir)? I wouldn't say it was crap or 'didn't like' exactly. We watched more than half of it; it was ok, but it felt like law of diminishing returns each time - and we just couldn't be arsed with the rest of it. Especially in light of the current outbreak of 'box set tv series mania' - with standards being very high, you feel cheated if it's not absolutely top-notch. Still looking forward to X Factor though, obvs.
  24. foot, not put
  25. I really wanted to find something wrong with Breaking Bad - just to be all different and controversial. But I couldn't. It was magnificent tv - with only comparatively small holes to be picked (occasional lull episodes). 60 hours is too long to watch again though, no matter how good it was. Pibe: similar problems here RE other half and sci-fi / fantasy. It's a continual bugbear. I had to put my put down on GoT though. If it would only arrive..
