  1. What sort of punishment do you think they ought to get, Al? Or can we go with 'child probably dead'?
  2. Their mistake was not to do enough crying on camera for a long enough period - to sate the public appetite. Like that Joanne Lees woman in Australia. If only she'd have cried a bit more people might have been a bit more sympathetic. As it was, she only had herself to blame for the way everyone turned on her. Personally, I expect a continuous stream of bereaved tears to be funnelled into a bowl - set at my feet - for a period of at least one year. Anything else is a clear indication of guilt.

  5. Regardless of the ins and outs of LLW, Picturehouse - who through their groovy image, alt-programming and indie feel (comparable to the 'blockbuster' chains I mean) - actively court a clientele more likely to upset their eggs benedict about such a thing. Makes sense for businesses to stay on the right side of their customers, especially if they happen to be motivated and liable to get arsey in these days of rampant social media. (It's still fine to pay less than LLW to eg table waiting staff 'serving' eggs benedict, of course. Nothing to worry about there)
  6. Over the last few months I feel like I've been living in a parallel universe where I see Farage everywhere. Sometimes I open the curtains in the morning and half expect him to be peering in; or see his face popping around the u-bend when I go for a piss. UKIP is what you get when most of the other players stand midfield and leave the wings wide open. Personally I think their net effect will be to do politics a favour.

I am sorry for failing to offer a joke. Please accept my apologies. Back to the REALLY SERIOUS music talk.

Sorry, I am interrupting. You were explaining how your musical taste > other people's musical taste. Please continue.

No really Miga, you should check out The Singlets at least. The Chillibox remixes on the Ramekin EP are just incredible.

    Growing Tomatoes

Realistically assess three things: Are they in a greenhouse? How many hours of sun will they actually get? How much care are you bovvered to give them? Even at the least favourable end ('limited', 'outdoors' and 'not much') there will be a tomato that could succeed - like bushing, short season cherries 'Red Alert' for example. The occasional years I've remembered (and been arsed) to grow from seed have always been better than bought plants, but that could just have been coincidence. Onwards - to tomato glory.

  15. What if you photograph them but only show the picture from the neck down? Like they do with obese people on the news?
  16. Can I just ask: getting your knob out seems generally frowned-on these days, but is 'mooning' still ok? At least from the rear window of coaches and suchlike?

It's not a case of good, exceptional, authentic. However good it is, it's just a bit of a dull 'restaurant eat'. It's like ordering pasta in a restaurant. Why?! I can cook that at home, pretty well. Kids like pizza though, so it's a safe option - it works - bosh. 'Generations of Italians'.. mammmma miiiiaaa (gesticulates wildly with hands).
  18. I haven't been keeping-up. Is this all about a bit of drunken pissing?

The last 20 pizzas we've had at The Actress have been steadfastly tasty. There was one off day. They took the offending item back without question, refunded the money, gave us another one free - and threw in a free drink. So tasty pizza and great customer service in my book. Whether or not they happen to be authentic, hand-stretched-on-the-thighs-of-olive-skinned-mafioso-daughters - I can't say I'm that bothered. That said, I'd never go to a 'pizza restaurant' without kids. It'd be like going to Disneyland without kids.
  20. According to my crematorium insider, specific funeral music requests - made by the deceased - are rare. Those that die younger - don't tell anyone. Those that die older - either forget or can't be arsed. More often than not the surviving next of kin plays something the departed 'went off' ten years prior.
  21. The problem with most crematoria is they fail to provide a decent rig. So that dream of a rousing airing of Jumping Jack Flash is hoist when the MC starts fumbling with the portable Alba CD boom-box.

I'm sure - had Puffy known it would shift several million copies - his legals would have argued more agressively for a cut. Maybe Puffy will have that song played at his funeral? (Sting should still get the PPL on that as well though, naturally)
  23. See above. Sting owns 100%.

Sting got the ker-CHING on that one. Diddy didn't get a look-in.
