You could go down The Dame route and take your surname and substitue the first letter for a 'Z' and let the kid choose his/her own name at some point in the future. The Bowie sprog ended up a 'Duncan' of course. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course.

I noticed today that their Le Creuset range now includes a ridged rubber disc, specifically for the purpose of preventing a chopping board from getting away from a chopper. And for only huit quid an' all. It doesn't actually say on the label, "An end to chopping board slippage misery", but it should. They're definitely new since last Tuesday and I reckon arrived alongside the LC oven gloves. A snip at ?13.75. And that's for a joined pair!!

I mainly use the big old royal blue square of polypro and anyway don't do that much chopping no how. I might treat myself to another chop2pot for Xmas though and alternate them, which would make them last longer. I might go for the pink one as a nice contrast to the black and in memory of my old pair of pink peg slacks.

It's a black one and looks pretty good if I say so myself. What I also need to share is that the a couple of weeks prior to my chop2pot board I bought a large royal blue polypropylene chopping/bread board also by the Joes. Big solid lump of polypro it is an'all. I'm seriously considering the colander though, it looks very handy and is probably a boon.

I checked at lunchtime and they are by Joseph Joseph and the handle is designed to fit over the side of the sink. They are only 11 quid though, so as you were. They also have folding chopping boards by the aforememntioned two Josephs and I know they're 15 quid as I bought one a while ago.

That must skew the figures. I don't how or why, but it must mean something. Mustn't it?

I would have loved being sent to boarding school as a kid, Billy Bunter and Jennings books made the whole experience seem great fun. All rags in the quad, shipping master's studies and getting into bother with the archbeako. I've heard tell of cold baths and buggery but the Famous Five and Jennings & Dabyshire never went in for that sort of thing so I'm putting that down to malicious rumours. Sadly my mater and pater were unable to stump up the required oof for a place so it was not to be. How different things might have been. Edited for a couple of fearful bishes.

Brixton isn't what you'd call a wealthy area, but Morleys sell 15 quid colanders, which just goes to show. Joseph ones I think they are, I'll check at lunchtime and get back to you.

Ed Balls? Now you're just making stuff up. No one of any importance could be called Ed Balls. It sounds like a character from an Ian Dury song. His biographer's name was Kevin Balls, which was good, though no Patricia Plaistow or Trevor Clever. Still ne'er mind, eh?

Anyone found guilty of maliciously with malice aforethought and prior knowledge before the fact knowingly assaulting a paragragh should be sentenced to deth. Taken from this plaice and well, hung. It'd save the burden on the syntax payers.
