  5. Oih John - 'Diary Of A Rock 'n' Roll Star by Ian Hunter please. I know you're not strictly taking requests but it's a good read, honest.
  6. Sister Ray - The Velvet Underground. Seminal they were.
  7. I've never been able to manage medical drama not even top-notch stuff like Emergency Ward 10. It's not for reasons of squeamishness, I can never muster up any enthusiasm for it. My mum was a nurse an' all.
  8. Just to go OT slightly, this morning on the 12 bus this gadgey and a lollygagger were talking. The gadgey told the lollygagger that the bendy 12s were on their out by Xmas and the 436s would folllow in quick smart order. His source was an unnamed 'friend' at Camberwell garage, who could well be the worst sort of yegg for all I know. Can anyone verify whether this is the case or should I just stop listening to nogoodniks on the buses?

I reckon the ones where large fellows with Texan accents ask the question 'Are you asking for the secret of my barbecue sauce?' and their wives ask 'Could you manage a little bacon with that pork?' and then their daughter enquires as to how you'd like your dessert chicken served. But on mature thought, no, no banning. There's always chips on the menu. And cheese. So make yourselves to home, y'hear?
  13. In fact I don't think he could justifiably cavil at 'rascally ne'er-do-well' and damn his eyes.
  14. So far so good, but I reckon any time soon McNulty'll drop that barely believable Brit accent and start shagging waitresses and scheming the way Our Lord intended him to.

It's so's News International/Corps get the inside skinny on the corpse before their rivals. Ladies & Gentlemen my names HonaloochieBenElton, I'm here, all weak.
  17. Moos, 'Sorry Moosing' is the new 'You couldn't make it up' amongst us sharp-nosed media types with the trilby/fedora with the 'PRESS' card sticking out of the hatband. And I'm not even lying.
  18. A good root as my Aussie chums might have it. Perhaps another one an hour or two if you're feeling generous. Also the bus stop opposite Lambeth Town Hall was destroyed a few months ago - an errant driver took it out - I hope and trust none of the drug dealers/loafters/nogoodniks who congregate in the area were hurt. But, can the shelter/information board giving ETA of buses be reinstated? If I know I have a 15 minute wait of an evening then I can at least knob off to the Traid shop to see what Timberland samples they have in stock and I can't purchase because they all seem to be mediums (feel free to insert a Doris Stokes joke here). Actually forget the shelter, the information board is more important. There's space enough to take shelter there provided you don#t mind occaisionally being in close proximity to drug dealers, loafters and nogoodniks.

  24. Marmite XO can also be sourced in the Barry Off Licence. I've laid a few jars down. I approve of the upside-down plastic containers of Marmite, I find one gets more yeast for your squeeze. My son informed of the Guiness/HP combo and I'm keen to try it - the meeting of two great houses requires investigation. Anyone know where a fellow might pick up some locally? Price of course is no object. you'll not see me scrimping when it comes to important taste combos such as these.
