  1. We had both a male and a female about two weeks ago. I?m never sure of the right time to see them.
  2. Some has just posted this in a Peckham Facebook group https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10223513649302463&id=1626012691&set=gm.4293968453979232&source=48. A budgie found.
  3. It is no different ie it as easy as it was before to park.
  4. Wow! Fado at 2pm. I might even have stayed up to listen to that. Beats the Fleetwood Mac we get at 430 every 6 weeks.
  5. Wow! Cheers all, really appreciated. Diablo, yes, it?s an arch broadly like the pic you posted. I am the freeholder so that bit is less problematic at least. Condensation both in the room above the arch and on the inner brickwork of the arch is a real problem simply because of the cold so anything that adds to issues will need pondering. Will contemplate feasibility of taking everything out of the room to do from within. And yeah, appreciate we?ll be getting the sound/vibration through the building structure as well as via floor....but every little must help!
  6. I got my 2nd jab invite text yesterday for either Tessa Jewell or Lister and there was lots of availability in coming days at both.? I have booked for Saturday.
  7. Our house has a carriage arch ie a drive underneath our bedroom to get through to the house behind us. With this empty space underneath us, the room is quite often freezing and it acts as an echo chamber for noise coming from the house next door (and the car driving through. We want to add thermal and sound insulation. We can either remove all of the furniture, take up the floorboards and try and add the insulation from inside, but this feels like a big job. So I was wondering if we could insulate from the outside ie affix some form of insulation panels to the ?ceiling? of the driveway. Has anyone done anything like this? Any thoughts on product eg Rockwool maybe? And/ or any thoughts on insulation experts? Thanks!
  8. We use traps made by the Big Cheese. They are kill traps and reusable. We find a chocolate raisin is the perfect bait. Our cat is very much still alive but useless. Through trial and error we have worked out where best to put them ie key junctions on the mouse superhighway. Think we got 4 in a week recently.
  9. My mid 40s brother had Moderna. Gave him a bit of a reaction at the jab site, large hot red patch still there after e days and flu type symptoms 24 hours after later. Still managed to go to work but crashed out as soon as he could!
  10. I?m really sorry to hear this. I wish you all the very best and may well order a trip at some point.
  11. Resurrecting this old thread as the man in a van selling garden furniture is back doing the rounds. Not so much a warning as I bought something from him, it was a good price and the item is identical to one I was looking for online.
  12. Was thinking this just the other day. There?s loads!
  13. Yes, I have. Although, weirdly, my partner who is in the 60+ bracket still hasn?t been contacted by DMC yet - although he was contacted by NHS centrally.
  14. https://cenemagazine.co.uk/features/2020/11/2/i-am-the-eggman-egg-egg-n-eggy-graffiti
  15. My mum and dad both had the AZ. My mum said she felt a tiny bit sick and very tired for a couple of days. My dad had a temperature for a day or so but otherwise was fine. Both in 70s.
  16. In same dilemma but have ultimately decided to get rid of bath and have big walk in shower. Been in my house 10 years and not used bath once. If whoever buys the house next wants one, they can easily put back in.
  17. A neighbour in his late 60s got texts from DMC and then from Guys an hour later offering a vaccine slot. So they look to be on the next priority group round here now.
  18. Apparently red wings and field fares often travel in mixed flocks.
  19. So this isn?t a thread about thickness of tights? Disappointing.
  20. Popped down just as it opened. Pretty empty. Marshall asking people to wear a mask and not loiter. First time I?ve felt ?safe? there for a while ~ I have just been walking past and not stopping in recent weeks as it was so crowded. Weather probably helped today.
  21. Are any local streets recommended for good Christmas window displays? Been reading about the new craze for Advent window displays and would love to take a wander and have a look if there are any locally?
  22. I empathise completely. Our neighbours have been having a side return extension built since about June. It was horrific during the hot summer days. I couldn't open windows or sit outside due to house and dust. It's still not done but at least the work is now inside.
  23. And irrespective of planning, they may need a Party Wall agreement with you if they are adjacent.
