Fab! Struggling to read menu though, can you, post a clearer image?

We had one removed some years ago. I complained to Council, it was replaced. Disappeared again, complained, was replaced. It then disappeared again and when I complained again I was told that the person who had moved into the house by the bin had been complaining and getting it removed.... Never got to the bottom of it but it transpired that the person in the house near the bin had more clout than I did. The bin was never replaced, nor relocated and yes, we do have more rubbish as a consequence.

Ok, how to deal with this one. Was roughly fourth in a queue outside a shop due to open. At the head of the queue was an empty shopping bag. Roughly 3 mins before shop due to open, car pulls up, chap gets out, picks up bag and takes place at head of queue.....

Spider69 - I can only speak for opening time on Rye Lane. Relatively few people and, in the main, being ok about distance. Like anywhere, there are inevitably people who don't respect the distance but I put the onus on myself to step away. Might be annoying and take me a bit longer but I feel safer doing so rather than arguing the toss. Felt perfectly fine this morning but I hear it got much busier later on.
-
Then very early Rye Lane remains a safer option. V small well- spaced queue at Asda with control on numbers entering. Long queue at Morrisons but equally well-spaced and controlled and actually fast-moving into and through shop. Shops like Khans and Harts Irish butchers v well-stocked and minimal human traffic.

Please. If I knew I wouldn't be asking. Been going to Asda on Rye Lane and no queue first thing on a Saturday so there aren't queues everywhere. Just trying to work out if the longer walk is worth it.

Thoughts on whether there will be a queue at opening time tomorrow?

A half way house between cooking from scratch and a takeaway are the fab spice boxes from places like Khans. Just made a gorgeous chana masala and a lovely veggie one last week.

Last Saturday first thing was fine, although the one by the station was even better.

Whilst trying to get a smart meter fitted, the power company rep reported the housing as unsafe (in a cupboard outside and backboard rotting). It seems like an utter nightmare to get this sorted: electrician to remove meters, power supply company to remove their equipment, building work to replace backboard then the two electricians to replace respective bits). It's made even more complicated due to one of the meters being supplied by a different power co so they need to do their bit. Has anyone been through the pain of this?!
-
Our external meter cupboard has been deemed unsafe due to a rotten backboard. We need to get it repaired and made sound but this involves: - getting an electrician to remove meters and ducting - waiting on site whilst U.K. power Networks remove their bit of kit - replace rotten backboard and doors, replacement felting for top - wait for UK Power to reattach their kit - electrician to reattach meters and ducting Obviously would be a whole lot easier if we could get both trades in one person/ firm. Any recommendations or anyone had this done? Cheers!

Apparently there's a top notch turntable guy in Lee? Mate took his Rega there to be serviced and did great job. -
