  1. Yep - they did four for me just before Christmas. All good!
  2. May find useful info here https://www.trafficpenaltytribunal.gov.uk/ and here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/parking-ticket-appeals
  3. The Hope, Peckham does a decent roast potato - or at least, they have been the few times I've had a roast there.
  4. This is infuriating. Several trips recently where I've had to have case on my knee because that Metro box is taking up the luggage space.
  5. If you can go slightly further afield this is lovely http://ch1889.org/venue-hire/
  6. Ah. I hadn't haughty of it like that. I just meant that London tube / train travellers see so many funny things on a Friday night, some chaps in kilts would barely register...!
  7. Jubilee Line to Canada Water, ginger line to Peckham Rye. No one will care....!
  8. Yes, it's open. Well, was today!
  9. So apparently our gas meter requires a 'mains bonding cable' to earth it to ensure compliance with latest building regs. Has anyone had this done? Any idea of cost? I don't think it's one those things that HAS to be done, just one of those things where regs have changed over time.
  10. The Ivy in Marylebone.

    Parkin

I can never find decent Parkin down here. Tend to stock up when I go back north or just bake my own. Shame this post wasn't last week as I could have brought you a stock from Bury market.
  12. I'm with red devil - which, in the circumstances, suggests you're on to a winner here.
  13. I believe they've now moved to the old Highshore School site on Bellenden Rd now.
  14. The Beautiful Pizza Boy opened on Bellenden Rd yesterday. Operated by the Pedler team. A frankly waistline terrifying combination of lovely looking pizzas and exotic cocktails. We were too late for food last night but had two cracking drinks.
  15. Similar thing happened to a cat I used to have. He ended up choosing to live round the corner with a woman who thought he was the reincarnation if her recently deceased dog. It was spooky. My cat had identical markings to her dead dog and , apparently, used to like sleeping in same places and so on. Very weird. he really wouldn't come home to me, the new owner loved him and so I gave them my blessing....
  16. Could be worse. My regular ear worms veer between 'total eclipse of the heart' and 'what's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster? I don't even know who sang the second one.
  17. Anyone got Sundial working for them at present? Struggling to get them round to measure up for a few weeks now.
  18. Yep, very used to it. Just not usually for this very prolonged period of time.
  19. Last night the helicopter was roaming round from about 3 - 415. Nightmare.
  20. Also try and work out how they're getting in and plus up all those gaps. In our place they were squeezing up the side of radiator pipes where wooden flooring wasn't fitted really tight.
  21. Classic Boat Frstival at St Katherine's Dock?
  22. Oh dear!! Autocorrect and no glasses. Bad combination...! Yes. Dunnock.
  23. Maybe a fun nock, nigello?. They like hedges.
  24. Sigh. Read my post. I wasn't complaining about the noise in any way - just alerting someone unfamiliar with the area to prospect of it so that if it was an issue for them they could factor it in to their decision making.
  25. That's the old one next door to it. The modern one on corner of Talfourd is still operational.
