Kid, I have no idea whether there was a campaign or not.

I wonder why there was no successful campaign to retain this line before its closure in the mid 50s? After all, it ran from C Palace - Upr Syd - Lordship Lane - Honor Oak - Nunhead - Victoria. That would have been a very useful line, adding to the transport connectivity of the area. If it was still going today, I can't imagine locals not fighting its closure. How odd!
