I agree, Red Devil, about Hearts. Why is there no team called Edinburgh? The other lot are Hibernian of course. St Johnstone - which is Perth - is a pretty weird name for a footy team.

zeban, you are wrong, they are schools that happen to be charities too. They obviously share some of the atributes of a business, but in my experience JAGs is far from being a harsh or uncaring place, and I am sure they would do what they could to help this situation be sorted out, unless things are totally hopeless with ones finances. In which case the answer would be for a parent to find another school.

WoD said one of the advantages of ccf is that the cadets have to iron all their stuff for parades-when they are away at camp-so from then on they do all their own ironing ( and more for pocket money) smiling smiley at least thats what happened at our house. That's just what we found with our kids - cleaning and shining boots/shoes also. Almost worth it for that alone. :)
