  7. Date: 15/04/2020 9:28 pm (GMT+00:00) To: Subject: Domestic violence during COVID Good evening, There is no briefing note today. However you may have seen news headlines in the last few days reporting on an increase in domestic violence since the Covid lockdown began. The Met Police are doing a lot of work to address this issue, one element of which is a poster campaign. We?ve been given the posters attached in this email to circulate in the community. Local teams will be distributing them where they are able to. However I kindly ask for community support with this as well. If you have access to a printer and any noticeboards in your estate or local area, please could you put up copies of these posters where you can. It may help someone who doesn?t know where to turn or feels they aren?t able to get any support in the current situation. Thank you very much. 10. Note from IlonaM: The children's book attached to Owen's email is too large to attach (6.4MB). Has anyone got any suggestions please how to distribute? Many thanks. Date: 14/04/2020 11:51 am (GMT+00:00) To: Subject: FW: COVID19 Briefing Note - 11/04/2020 Good morning Apologies for the delay in circulating this weekend?s briefing note out; I took a few days of leave so wasn?t checking my emails. The weekend was certainly busy for officers on patrol with many people moved on from parks and open spaces. Unfortunately one of my PCs was punched in the face by a male on Borough High Street, who has subsequently been charged with assaulting an emergency work. Officers also arrested a male who had been seen exposing himself in a park in SE17. I attach the briefing note in PDF copy in case of formatting errors. I also attach Coronavirus: A Book For Children which looks interesting and may be of use. Have a good week. Owen

So get behind Tom as he does 10 laps a day! A bio on Tom: Tom was born and brought up in Keighley, Yorkshire. He went to Keighley Grammar School and later completed an apprenticeship as a Civil Engineer. Tom went onto being enlisted in 8 DWR (145 RAC) at the beginning of the war, and in 1940 was selected for Officer training. He was later posted to 9DWR in India, and served and fought on the Arakan, went to Regiment to Sumatra after the Japanese surrender and returned to be Instructor at Armoured Fighting Vehicle School in Bovington. NHS Charities give ?1million a day to the NHS, providing vital funds to help the NHS do more. So we here at Maytrix thought, what better cause to donate to at a time like this. Maytrix is the company owned by Tom's daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore and son-in-law, Colin Ingram. We set this page up, without any idea that it would become as highly visited as it is, and more of 'heartwarming' story for the local region. It is completely blown up, and we are so proud to be representing Tom and his 100th birthday walk for the NHS. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please send us your videos saying 'please donate' to [email protected]'

It still reads 'foxy'! Not sure of the point you're making ianr. I did not participate in the thread you are quoting. Let's focus on the point of the thread, shall we?

Spartacus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I agree , very sobering and glad to see you've > come around to my way of thinking since foxy poo > pooed me on the 2nd April I don't believe I was ever contrary to your way of thinking Sparticus. Every death is a tragic loss, whether in hospital, at home, in a care home, at home or abroad. It is painfully tragic that those looking after us on the front line are succumbing to the virus because they have not been given correct PPE.
  16. All those taken by the virus, some of whom are remembered in the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/18/not-ready-to-go-tributes-paid-to-uk-first-named-victims-of-coronavirus A truly sobering read.

I also attach a PDF copy in case formatting in the email goes awry. 25. I ordered one the other day after reading that the WHO was going to review its advice on mask wearing. I haven't seen any update on that yet. I rarely go outside, but I thought it is better to have one just in case it becomes necessary. I ordered one for my elderly mother as well as she goes shopping occasionally.
