  1. My cistern was running into the pan and I left it (stupidly just never got around to it and didn't realise the amount of water going through) and ended up with a 500 bill when I'm normally paying around 120 at the end of the quarter. That was a few years ago now though always the same since.

This is Quantum Stuff not Newtonian stuff though - and Quantum stuff in extreme conditions. http://www.bbc.co.uk/earth/story/20141106-why-does-anything-exist-at-all And you can't observe due to the uncertainty principle - so we're b*ggered :)

Old cars LOL - I had to pull out the choke to start my car 20 years ago and it immediately released a cloud of pollution :)

The Alt Right at the moment is the quickest way up the ladder so the ambitious choose it. The people supporting it don't believe it - they're what is now called "Grifters"
  5. Crossing the floor is a time honoured British tradition - Churchill loved doing it. Here's a list of them all https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_British_politicians_who_have_crossed_the_floor

I'm mainly a pub rather than restaurant customer but location, ambiance, who the other customers are and staff all play a part, design and layout even ?

Adventure Bar should have worked at that point but now it would be Peckham :)
  10. Was in a pub in Clapham and a lad with the haircut came in - as the rest of his mates gradually slunk in you could pick them all out by the haircut. Other than that harmless though :)

I agree on the pinkish colour with one of the comments - It's a great colour :)
  13. What about just Pragmatism - which doesn't necessarily mean a good outcome but at least you can treat each problem on it's merits.
  14. Sounds like it will be mainly commercial vehicles caught more than once - with company fines.
  15. I like coffee shops but having an idea - we could put the flyers in the coffee shops.

Someone help please. https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/european-elections-2019-candidates-mep-who-standing-eu-vote-full-list/ The process is that lead party gets top of the list and votes are halved - next highest gets highest on remaining list. The 2nd time you win a candidate (second on list) you have 1/3 of your votes counting - so on until all seats taken (edit: this isn't a good explanation but best I can do LOL)
  18. Poll shows (as well as some Brexit party gains) large Liberal Democrat and Green gains in London. I still suspect there's a lot of "Don't Knows" in the raw data.

Much more conservative now. :) No way out though - stop in the box and you're done.

  22. I didn't watch Marr this morning, but apparently Farage went off on one when questioned. https://metro.co.uk/2019/05/12/nigel-farage-meltdown-andrew-marr-accusing-worst-interview-ever-9501369/ Farage: ?never ever use the word manifesto again? - there it is then - he won't tell us what his policies are.

They need policies and a manifesto for a general election rather than just shouting 'Betrayal' - they remind me so much of the old ratepayers parties - socially right wing economically liberal - that won't win votes once people see what it really means to our lives, you can't go back to the thirties.

I see more anger on the remain side at present - if you follow twitter some of it is 'blue on blue' Oh and Guido trying dirty tactics (creepy stuff) - if you google it ask who took the photo and why.
