  1. Rumours of a re-shuffle (goodbye Sunak) if results aren't good for the tories - but don't think Boris will go yet. Sue Gray might force his hand at some stage.

That was implied - and it was the people supervising the ballot - but if you persisted they allowed you. I saw someone complain a bit that took up more time than voting cards saved :)

  4. We were all asked for our voting cards yesterday - It was muttered that it was just to make it faster to vote but there was a feeling you needed them. Should have posted this yesterday. Well done London Labour.

  7. Isn't that the Mayors department - or the old GLC

After 911 - if you lived through it as its 21 years ago now - it means one thing. It's funny to think that most of the people I see out in the pub didn't live through it or were too young to remember.

  10. Companies are sending around test emails and messages with attachments and semi plausible reasons to click on them. about 1 in 100 clicked in our test - and had to enrol for extra training LOL.
  11. The Russian spokeswoman just said they know exactly what "Heappey" said and are preparing retaliation - almost as if he was a really important world statesman.
  12. It's amazing how quickly people just accept an ongoing cold war and the constant threat of obliteration.
  13. Hmmm Putting your least effective people in the safest wards. Isn't that going to discourage your best people who are put in a ward that may not vote for them.

Google it and loads of pubs across UK and Ireland do it. I found a thread on Reddit where whole towns in Ireland would shut as soon as some travellers turned up at the first pub (they all phones around). Obviously there's a perception of something by pub managers and companies.
  15. Not only did the staff in Pret Holborn give me regular free coffee but they also waved at me as they brought sandwiches into the building I then worked in. I know its probably corporate policy to be nice to your regular customers but they did seem to make an effort.

  17. Nadine copied his email word for word - she is so smitten
  18. The Cherry Tree has always been empty as long as I remember except after football matches - when I first came to this area the then landlord was not popular on here (that takes me back) I'm sad it never really got popular as its a great space.

I'm not sure what Boris's plan is but I suspect he has no plan except to say he got a trade deal and that worries me as he could get it completely wrong.
  20. So on his way to India the PM says we need more immigrants to do IT jobs after years of saying the NHS and other services are overused because of immigrants. Thanks Boris.

Boris on his way to India today saying "The UK needs hundreds of thousands of new workers particularly in IT and programming" So no refugees allowed but we are selling visas for a trade deal
  23. Is this a dark kitchen ? I asked on another thread how you link complaints like this to licensing when it comes up. ?
  24. So what if the noise is people leaving a pub at 1:00AM every night and only lasts a short time whilst they wait for their taxis and shout. Surely Southwark can ask for notices to be put saying "please leave quietly and respect the residents" without having to attend. How do you just register a complaint so when licensing time comes you can say there were xxx complaints after 1:00am

It wasn't just the Archbishops of Canterbury and York criticising this but the Pope made a little reference too (without saying UK).
