  1. Just do the sh*ke and v*c and put the freshness back (I think that ad might be sexist these days)
  2. The Pret I went to the staff used to wear the flag of their place of birth on their uniform. I liked the colour - but I admit there weren't many union jacks LOL
  3. SO if you want to stop human trafficking Send the victims to Rwanda
  4. Tom Tugendhat seems to be the closest who aren't in the tight Boris Clique in the Tories. Nobody around seems to have the gravitas of even Gordon Brown and he had his problems.
  5. or maybe Truss is now favourite It's like the magic Roundabout.
  6. Why is Pritti Patel now favourite to replace Boris Johnson Is that by default as all the rest have mis-stepped.

Maybe so - so you learn it as is taught But the answers in my view are debatable whether true or not
  8. If you associate James Barber with National Liberal Democrat policy in the early 2010s which you can do (I think the CON-DEM alliance was a huge mistake and they should have stuck with Gordon Brown in 2010) (that is a mistake for the Lib Dems) you must associate the current Tory candidates with Johnson and Sunak. I think many will vote on National issues.
  9. Were XR out drinking last night as it seemed rather noisy for a sunday night or was there something else on that i didn't know about.
  10. Pret are moving out of Central London into the more central residential areas as people work from home I heard. They gave me free coffee after free coffee when I worked in holborn :)
  11. XR are known to be clever about what they do - they might give an indication of turning up on Peckham Rye then turn up at Clapham.

  13. fishbiscuits Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tip for people trying to maintain a healthy diet : > don't drink a lot of beer. La la la la lalalal :) apparently its about 200 kcal per beer - proper low carb beer is in the process of being invented apparently

As the BBC says "We tend to associate the arrival of Christianity in Britain with the mission of Augustine in 597 AD. But in fact Christianity arrived long before then"

  16. Is it the chain that has 250 employees or the local pub (are they franchises or directly managed or something else) No way will they label beer - if anything I've noticed there are no price lists on the wall in lots of pubs - you just buy it and pay whatever the price is - so where will the calorie list go for my pint of Camden Hells.
  17. As the campaign for May local elections starts Boris seems obsessed with culture war stuff but he is distracted by a real war Starmer is not saying much at all - but maybe that will work Lib Dems definitely saying stuff (I saw Ed Davy on TV) but is anybody listening Sombody has leaked/manufactured this story about Sunak's wife which will not go down well as you can't help but wonder what his plans would be after leaving politics - so many ex-politicians leave this country.

  19. I watched Ian Hislop's analysis of fake news today and he stated it isn't what the argument is but who is telling you what to believe and why. If I don't know who is telling me something then I should really disregard it - and especially so if its something I want to believe.
  20. So as the 2019 General Election was said to prove that the majority in the UK support Brexit (Still Questionable) A win for Labour in Southwark would mean the LTN issue is done and dusted (all know it won't be)

    EDF

    Never have guessed.
  22. Well the guy did slap an egg on Prescott IRC - 15 years ago too so we have changed attitudes to violence.
  23. Can't see the Plough ever being really popular although I'd like it to be. Its a great space.
  24. I'm not sure the Queen checks out the EDF :) But then ?
  25. Seems peace might be about to break out. Strangely that comes after the most aggressive statements by the USA. Not saying they are linked but....
