warning-strange man hanging around in childrens playground.

This sounds like something else now though. -

My colleague once warned someone like this severely, and it turned out to be a PI hired by an ex, who promptly sued him. Call the police whatever if you're being followed. Don't confront. -

never-ending shenanigans at dulwich baths

A 50m pool (especially if theres also a 25m pool) is a real luxury though. When I visit home I go lane swimming to the Wales National Pool at Swansea and it is a really beautiful swim - space and time in both the changing rooms and the pool. I know Crystal Palace is older - but I'll have a go I think. Pickle Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Agree with the poster above. I normally end up using gyms out of peak hours where possible or at least starting my run before the crowds by coming early - but not everyone can - so maybe some sort of (non price) related incentive to use other hours for the people that can. The machines obviously can't have the maximum time reduced below 20 minutes - that's low already but is there space for people waiting to do other things (grabbing some dumb bells, skipping) and is there a mechanism whereby they can still keep 'in the queue'. Don't forget the Saturday fitness sessions on Peckham Rye and Dulwich park as an option especially as it warms up. The only way forward is to cancel memberships if they won't listen. I use the tiny work gym Which we keep tidy ourselves (but you can get in at certain times) and a work bench and weights at home now. I am allowed to run on the treadmill for an hour too. Anything under 45 minutes will do me no good IMHO. -
Life isn't fair, and some people can quite happilly walk around with things on display yet nobody will touch them. More vulnerable people have to be very careful, although I've never seen so many IPads out as recently. I'm sure it was on here I first heard of the SE15 frown - a look developed in SE15 to put off muggerrs/chuggers etc. Laughed at the time, but it exists. Free coffee from pret last week, after buying a coffee there every day for a month. And the odd man too by the look of it. Obviously going for people who won't fight back - will be locked up soon :) mikekingphoto Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > This is one of the scumbags mugging females after > work walking home from Dulwich stations. > http://www.btp.presscentre.com/Media-Releases/Brit > ish-Transport-Police-release-CCTV-and-issue-warnin > g-after-spate-of-iphone-snatches-Denmark-Hill-Peck > ham-Rye-Crofton-Park-stations-1917.aspx

Oh I know what I would do, and it involves bodily fluids in the milk bottle.

The lady in kings who used to come and take blood every day when you were an 'inmate' (had an op there) could do a ward in about 10 minutes. Boy she was fast and always found a vein first time (scary :)) )

It's all about perception and perception of what is where changes over time I live in Peckham Rye but so many different names can be used for the same roads. I like Peckham Rye though :) henryb Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > Copleston Road is in SE15. Flats on Underhill Road - Are they having a laugh ?
JohnL replied to AD's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
That's how capitalism works, they can easily reduce the price, but can't easily increase it :). Do you think the trouserless guy had some deal though that took the price actually paid down. If not, No wonder he can't afford curtains yet AD Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I spotted the block of four two bedroom flats on > Underhill road / Overhill Road junction are back > on the market..... at wait for it 369k !!!!!!! > > So after not selling these flats for around seven > years and squatters move in they kick the > sqautters out put a lick of paint on them and try > and sell them for 50k more than the last time they > tried (I last saw them for 317k). > > The main problem with these flats is apart from > not being like the rest of the road at all is the > bedrooms. Mugged on Oglander Rd - Mon 28 Nov 620pm
JohnL replied to meshnylon's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Unfortunately I find myself walking around looking angry and sometimes furious in order to deter muggers/chancers and the like, especially after dark. I certainly won't stop to talk to anyone who looks remotely strange. The people who look weak in any way will be targeted in the same way those who show phones and other valuables will. Someone on here called it the Peckham frown a few years ago and I laughed, but now I do it, you can easily see where it leads if everyone follows suit. Sad in a way - and it's London not just south London or east dulwich. I just thought, where else would we have to behave this way, front up, hide possessions, not show weakness and I realised, inside prison. -
Only public documents were used. So no MI5, CIA stuff. The stuff that goes to the heart of the matter. No US or British government stuff. Seems rather pointless.
