  1. There is an early train that goes from Peckham rye straight to London bridge. I've caught it (unless I fell asleep).
  2. 5th of November is not about celebration, it's a warning to us. I see no reason Why gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot. 4. I'd say this must be children doing this. What adult wouldn't know about electric wheelchairs and would mock someone. So it's probably complain to the school.

  6. Mines only WIFI - so only home, work and pubs for me. I don't flash it, but will use it if I take it out. My Kindle

Apple have managed to remove the store option from the Kindle app for IPad. Confused me :)
  9. There is - one guy even managed to get his laptop camera (ok that was an apple laptop) to take pics of the scum before getting the cops to pay a visit. findmyiphone app is the start. benmorg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > There must be a way of using smartphones to trace > and catch these f*ckers.
  10. Kids seem to have changed - all playing PS3 and XBox Ran round Peckham Rye and there's at least a million conkers lying around. In my day they'd all be gone. 11. Unbelievably this seems to be possible - also reports of mobile masts doing it. Insurance companies deny any issues too - so check !! pebbles Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just wanted to flag up what has just happened At > the Sainsburys on Dog Kennell Hill to make people > careful. > > At about 5.45 i was trying to get back into my car > after my shop and the remote control wasn't > working. 12. Colleague got done twice on tower bridge for this last year - on the same crossing.
  13. mind you, in this case my first thought would still have been that the guy was 'testing me' to see if I acted like a victim or could be intimidated. The gangs go after easy victims - so it's best to grin at them as if that sort of stuff will never scare you in a month of sundays - don't argue or say anything however.
  14. bovver boots :) My Doc Martins are over 30 years old and in that time i've seen them popular with student girls and gay lads as well as the original skinhead types from the 80s. You're more likely to get the gay comment than the skinhead white nazi one to be honest if wearing doc martins/leather/cropped hair. camberwell70 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How short is your hair, NowAndHere? > > And what type of bomber jacket were you wearing? > > Can you describe the colour of the jacket and, if > possible, the type of footwear you were wearing? > > Were you wearing 'bovver boots?'
  15. I still reserve the right to defend myself if necessary. I might, I might not - my mood can change drastically. Never make them think you will go easy - then you become an easy victim. 16. Although it's good advice on an indivisual basis to give over your mobile phone if mugged - surely like giving in to terrorist demands it won't be good long term as the muggers see mugging as a low risk event for them and will do it more. Somebody has to make it an activity which is too risky for them to do either by making nasty consequences or a a method of catching them. Come on apple make an iPhone with a nasty twist or something.
  17. A gang did whack me with a plastic bottle once - was a joke I think. Just turned round and gave them the sort of laugh that a boxer gives his opponent and went. exnorthener Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "Of course the gang got all defensive and revealed > a couple of bottles from there jackets...The > jogger approached them and got right into there > face and said, "Come on then?!" 18. Its never worth going easy IMHO. Ask all the questions. Show you know what you're talking about. Get represented if you can. bargain. But be polite etc. There are other jobs out there.
  19. If you got into trouble when drunk when I was young they'd sew you up with no pain killer within about 30 seconds.
  20. Being done on the roads along Brockley when I was on the 343 bus last. But they are near houses.
  21. But the bankers get away with it. is it because they wear smart suits ? 22. going on my work gym (which does its job) - would be new here. I'd have thought work gyms would be less macho - but not so :) Only me! 23. In my gym experience people do tend to congregate (sometimes in groups) around free weights. Maybe some rules about reserving benches with towels whilst using something else, about shouting encouragement too loudly and about weight clanging/dropping should be in force. I'm thinking of joining as I only use my workplace gym at present - I do both cardio and weights - although rarely over 20kg. I entered the competition too :) James Barber Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi dulwichbloke, > As previously posted I've arranged for all the > free weights to be put out and they go from > 1kg-30kg? > What have I missed.
  24. When I was a boy our big black tomcat gave the neighboring jack russell a huge nose scratch after it tried it on a bit. the dog just whimpered and didn't come back. Those dogs must have been brought up to be killers.
  25. Thats what happens to me after 15 pints. Its not just drugs which spike - I've seen so many boys at the bar sticking vodkas etc in other peoples pints.
