  1. If they liked Charlie and Lola, then Clarice Bean and Ruby Redfort after.
  2. Have you tried Just William's? I have bought one there a (quite long) while ago.
  3. Not sure if anyone interested but I have just out tiles in our bathroom that would be awesome for a hallway. They mimic floorboards, but are far better than most wood effect tiles I have seen, they have a grain and pretty much look like floorboards. They are designed and produced in Germany. They are these... http://www.realearthuk.com/products/legno-rustico-grey I have 2 square metres of the grey that I am going to sell at a cut price and you can order more... They do do them in lots of different colours though and am now wishing they were about when I was doing my kitchen!
  4. Hi there, Both my kids were hospitilised with Bronchiolitis, one at 5 weeks and one at 3 weeks. It is awful watching them struggle so you have my sympathy. I bought a Vicks Hot steam vaporiser which was great at the time, (think you can get them on Amazon) and is still going 7 years later! I definately found elevating the mattress slightly at the head end helped. Both of them are really healthy now (touch wood) and have no side effects! Good luck.
  5. Playmobil toys are great in the bath also (not the small bits obvs...)
  6. It was a dual flush, smallish round button with two inner pieces. More than welcome to come and have a go!
  7. Actually, we have just put in a new bathstore bathroom and found the flush has much improved from the previous one (same design, just slightly different size by the looks) and my 3 yr old can flush it really easily. Maybe they had feedback about the flush.
  8. These look fab, and would definatly have been interested but we are past that stage now... Good luck!
  9. Some of H and M have defined feet and some have just the seam across the tops of the toes, worth a look in store!
  10. All the pre-teens/teens we had were incredibly polite with great costumes and no further knocks once our pumpkin had come in!
  11. I did quite a lot when pregnant with my first - not sure what it did medically but was totally blissful regardless. I used to fall asleep towards the end, actually pregnant or not I think it would be lovely!
  12. I would probably take her to the gp but I do think they get very engrossed at school and forget until it is too late. Also check that she is going to the toilet in the breaks as sometimes the teachers discourage them from going if it is not convenient etc. (Also I imagine to prevent a steady stream of kids trucking back and forth from the loos...) Maybe ask her teacher to remind her subtly also?
  13. The Octonauts toys are great also, ready sturdy, can go in water and good for imaginative play. We have definately had our use out of ours and they are still in great condition!
  14. We spent quite a looong summer one year with my then 3 yr old demanding in ever increasing levels of hysteria that I shut the back doors every time the kids down the road revved their scooter (this was quite often) but this also spilled over to noisy cars/bikes when we were walking down the road. However this phase passed and by the next summer no noise drama! She definately went through a time of being hypersensitive to noise at around 3.
  15. Usually you can get an emergency appointment if you ring later in the day after the carnage of appointments opening has passed...or at least talk to someone there? Sorry if you've already tried this!
  16. My daughter was always last for all of reception and most of year one but seems to have finally stepped up her game now. The slow ones do get to know the lunch ladies though!
  17. The info I got (yr 2 child) was that everyone had to be in proper uniform, not that the uniform was changing. There are meetings next week so should all come clear then maybe.
  18. We used Mary Glover at Gt Ormond St private clinic for both our kids. She was brilliant!
  19. The wow toys are great, we have some of these and they still get played with several years on! As far as I can work out they seem pretty indestructible... Just Williams have a decent range. The most popular ones for us were the ones like the ambulance that had people and bits to put in and out.
  20. Napisan - soak overnight and then wash, give the stains a good scrub after they have soaked. Also stain devils very good. Then hang out in the sunshine!
  21. There is definately one near the Scoop, good for a pic as you can see the Olympic rings on Tower Bridge also!
  22. We went to stay with a frighteningly organised friend and it inspired us to try and take control! We got some adjustable storage from Ikea with drawers and shelves, it can be as wide or narrow as you like. We have put all types of toys into individual boxes or drawers, ie cars/play mobile/jewellery/dinosaurs etc. It makes it better to play with and all the bits are together and super easy to clean up. It has the added bonus of being able to all be put out of sight in the evening. We have gone slightly mad with the boxes of things but it does seem the only way to retain some sense of sanity on my part... We are some way off our friends level of tidiness but we are in much better shape than we were!
  23. We have the potty and a toilet seat.
