  1. Is it on every night? I thought it was just tomorrow evening.
  2. We got some yesterday from the little supermarket shop to the right of Red Apple newsagent opposite Dulwich library
  3. Desperately tried buying washing detergent tablets today after numerous unsuccessful attempts over the last few days. In desperation found some in local corner shop which I bought as situation at home getting desperate...

  5. This weekend coming, 25-27th, is the RSPB?s annual Big Harden Watch. By taking part (dedicating an hour to watching and recording the feathered visitors to your garden) you can help to monitor bird numbers and identify which species are in decline. You can find out more here... https://www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/everything-you-need-to-know-about-big-garden-birdwatch/

    Fireworks

Just to say, I have a dog that is petrified of fireworks and as he is quite elderly I do worry a lot when firework season is upon us as he is a trembling wreck throughout. This year, on the advice of a kennel owner, I bought an Adaptil Calm collar and plug in diffusers. They were pricey but the effect has been amazing - he?s still not completely happy but he doesn?t shake at all anymore and also doesn?t hide under the table. I can?t say it will work for all dogs but it?s definitely worth a try.
  7. Ken?s all the way for us! Tried many trying to find a decent one so since we found Ken?s we never been anywhere else!
  8. I park in Sainsbury?s car park and walk up through the estate, past fox on the hill and down to kings.

  10. Another vote for Ken?s - the only place we will go to now. My son , a lover of fish and chips, rates it a solid 10/10 - the only place he won?t have ketchup as, ?It?s so good, it doesn?t need it!?
  11. Thank you so much to all those brilliant Forum users who responded so generously. The family were deeply touched by the response from you all and it?s helped to restore faith in them. A massive thanks from me too as without all your donations I would not have been able to help them half as much. I?m not taking any more donations now as they have definitely got enough to keep them going for the time being. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
  12. Hi hpsaucey, yes he?s average height and build. If you do have anything, please do let me know and I?m happy to come and collect. Many thanks for taking the time to look.

Nice to help > people directly where possible. Hi Jellybeanz, Thanks for taking the time to post. I have received a few donations but anything else that can help this family would be hugely appreciated. It?s very kind of you.
  14. Hi everyone, I am putting out a call on behalf of a family who are in dire need of help. Through my work, a family with a 13 year old girl and 10 year old boy are in desperate need of clothing donations. They have nothing so any donations would be gladly accepted. Any size 2 boys shoes would also be greatly appreciated. If anyone thinks they can help out, please PM me and I would be more than happy to come and collect anything. Many, many thanks.
  15. Car was broken into early hours of this morning, (00.50) CCTV shows a male making his way down the road trying lots of cars before getting into mine and rummaging around. No damage, nothing to steal in my old car but worth checking your cars if you live around the top end of Upland road( up from Goodrich school) Reported to 101 and emailing them CCTV footage.

  17. Just found this from back in 1973 BBC archives, as featured on Blue Peter. Thought it might be of interest.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/blue-peter-solves-daleks-mystery/zdx8382
  18. Hi there - I have an iPhone 6+. The easiest way I find to upload photos on the forum is to select the photos I want on my phone and select the option to email them. I put in my own email address. It then asks you what size you want to send them - small, medium, large or actual size. I choose medium. When my phone receives them I then upload them onto my camera roll and use these photos to put on the forum. Because they are medium the forum allows me to attach 2/3 to each post. Hope this might work for you!
  19. I?m guessing it?s the physio on Lordship Lane - Elizabeth Sharp Physio?
  20. The van was broken into some nights ago - there appears to be a spate of it at the moment in the surrounding roads. The thieves ransacked the van, stealing tools and removed the whole ignition. Apparently they have a system whereby from the ignition they can connect it to a computer and return a few days later, put it back in and drive away with the van. The owner has deliberately let the air out of the tyres to prevent them from driving the van away. He has already lost money from stolen tools, had to buy an expensive wheel and pedal locks and has to replace the whole ignition which as you can imagine is very expensive. Add this to the fact he?s losing money from not having his van for work and you can understand why it may take him some time to get the van back up and running.
  21. Wow that?s such great news - my son and I were looking at a poster today and wondering what could have happened to him. Thrilled for you.
  22. Living on Upland Road, it would have been nice to have been informed beforehand that the top of the road would be closed to traffic. Also, no signs to tell drivers of this on Upland road.
  23. I?ve just spoken with my dad who was walking his dog yesterday and was stopped by a guy on a bike who said a woman had lost her golden retriever puppy - he thinks it was called Maggie or Maddy so someone must be missing her.
  24. There?s a similar aged puppy that lives down the road from us on Upland road. I know as she escaped from her house once whenworkmen were there and we found her running up the road. I wonder if it could be the same?
  25. I believe it is not returning, neither is the car boot sale. Apparently the council got wind of its success and said stall holders would have to pay an additional fee to the council so it is no longer taking place. This is of course second hand information so may or may not be correct. Either way it?s a real shame as I was really looking forward to going again.
