  1. Thanks everyone - some great tips here! Wish we hadn't used the carpet cleaner on it already as worried now that it's sealed the stain in forever. Anyway, have forwarded this link to my mum and will let you know how it goes. Thrilling stuff...
  2. Can anyone help? My newborn has sprayed mustard yellow poo all over my mum's brand new cream carpet. Despite sponging it off immediately and then using a household carpet cleaning machine on it, it has left a really noticeable stain. Anyone got any brilliant tips for removing it?
  3. It's a long shot but I need a teeny tiny little item from Ikea if anyone's going in the near future? I've got a brand new baby so cannot face going myself. There's a bottle of wine in it for anyone who might be able to help. It's not urgent by any means so after New Year would be equally helpful... Thanks.
  4. Hope you're all doing ok. I'm rather loving hibernating at the moment. Just wondering if anyone wants to buy a regular sized liner for an eco birth pool in a box? I bought it for ?28 but will sell for ?20. Its unused, sealed etc. Let me know quite soon as I'll send back to the company if no one wants it. Keep warm xxxx
  5. Alix that's brilliant news! Can't wait to hear the details. Good luck to everyone and really excited about all these bumps turning into babes! Pickle have pm'd you about sheepskin. Hope I'm not too late...
  6. Just to let you know that Baby Courage arrived last night! It was fast and furious and all done at home. She weighs in at a surprisingly big 8lbs 13ozs and is still asleep now.... Testament to the sleep seminar or just the calm before the storm??? I'll let you know. Come on Winter Babies. Can't wait to meet the rest of you now... Lots of love to all xxx
  7. You poor thing Pickle - sounds really miserable. Sorry I can't be much help but hope that Jan 14th comes round fast and that you get at least some respite between now and then. Thinking of you...
  8. MissyMack - Not rank to borrow a birth pool, you just need a new liner (?25 online) to make sure its all hygienic. If nothing else you can set it up and hang out weightlessly while watching telly on maternity leave. Thanks for Arnica breakdown - have heard good reports so will be investing. I'd be up for a first aid course if it goes ahead, please count me in Mooncake. Look forward to seeing any who can make it on Weds... xxx
  9. MissMack! Homebirth? Whatever next?! You can borrow my birth pool when I'm done with it. And just think of you all cuddling up together afterwards in your own bed, eating delicious food and being surrounded by all your own stuff. Go for it. Have you spoken to Lanes/Brireley/Oakwood etc? I'm interested in the arnica dose that you're taking - let me know. Also keen to meet up on Weds. Keep me updated. Speak soon x
  10. A bit of feedback... I saw Daniel Harvey at Dulwich Chiro on Friday. Two days on from my 45 min treatment and I'd say I'm 90% 'cured'. I have another appointment tomorrow, which will probably be my second and last session. So call chiropractic work whatever you like, it has definitely had extremely positive results for me.
  11. Sorry, having read the posts here with interest, am hijacking to ask if anyone has the aforementioned Ameda to sell? A long shot but you never know...
  12. What time is the parent education class on tues...? And thanks for hosting the seminar MM - a far more taxing role than organising! I fear I might be a bit late as my partner has just announced he's away on business that night so start without me and I'll get there asap. I'm going to attempt to bake some brownies (prob from a packet). E x
  13. Lots of help from you all - thank gawd for the forum! It seems Russell and Daniel get the most positive feedback (at least locally) so I'm going to get in touch with them both and hopefully get an appointment with whoever seems best qualified to help me. Thanks again everyone x
  14. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and have lower back pain that's getting worse by the day. Think it's my sacroiliac joint but at times feels like sciatica. Either way, I'd like to get it sorted before my due date but not sure whose help I should be seeking. Anyone got any suggestions?
  15. Just to say that I've pm'd the people who've expressed an interest in the sleep seminar. If you are keen to attend but haven't received a message from me then please get in touch as it means I've ballsed up in some way. There's still space for one more by the way...(Nov 10th, 7.30pm, ?20 per person).
  16. Sleep consultant provisionally booked for 10th nov. That seemed to be the only feasible date that everyone could make. I do hope that's ok with you Nic - I realise it means you have to reschedule your arrangement that night. Apologies. Hopefully it'll be worth it though...
  17. Havd added mooncake to the list of seminar peeps. That makes 7 of us. Will get in touch with the consultant and see what she says about availability. Mikandnik, how easy would it be for you to get out of your arrangement on 10th???
  18. Apple strudels all round! I'll kick off with dates: I can do Thurs 10th, Sat 12th (w/c 7th Nov) or 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th the following week. bee 74, Mothercourage, MissMack, tomo, mikandnick and millymoo have all expressed an interest so far. Sorry if I've missed anyone - I'm trying to do this in a real rush. That means there's still room for two more... Am off to North Norfolk for a few days (glamour!) so might be out of touch for a bit. Hope all are well and expanding nicely x
  19. I can't make a meet up this week but just to keep you up-to-date with the sleep consultant, she says she's happy to do evenings or weekends. I think there's a few of us interested and I may be able to rustle up more interest from friends of mine who aren't part of this thread. Anna/MissMack, if you're absolutely sure about holding the seminar at yours then that'd be really helpful - what a star! Now what about dates? Maybe in a couple of weeks to give others who may not have logged on recently the chance to catch up and join in if they fancy? Personally speaking I'm pretty free in the evenings and at weekends. Anna, if you can give us some possible dates that work for you then we can start getting something organised. On a totally different note I've just been for reflexology with Kate Sedgwick. Pure bliss... Think there have been a number of threads about her on here before. x
  20. I've asked the consultant about evenings and weekend availability. Lets see what she comes back with.
  21. Hi girls. Hope everyone's enjoying the autumn sunshine. Just saw this message from a sleep consultant who offers one-off seminars (helping to establish good sleeping routines etc) and wondered if anyone would be interested? ?20 each, minimum of 6 people, maximum 20 and we'd need somewhere to hold it. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?25,773544 What do you reckon?
