  9. Damn those slack-jawed, glassy-eyed zombies! They are destroying ED!

  12. Can someone please explain something to me? About six months or so back there were a couple of posts along these lines on this forum and I seemed (with a few occasional exceptions) to be the only person making this type of point about kids running amok in public places. Consequently I spent several weeks on the receiving end of frequently extremely vicious and hysterical posts that left me picking daggers out of my back most of the time. Now, however, it seems that it is the most popular theme on the site (apart from lost pets, of course) and everyone who was silent on this issue is coming out of the woodwork and saying "Me too, I hate noisy kids in public places" Where the h**l were you all months ago when I seemed to be the sole voice arguing for a bit of consideration and parental restraint??????

We can assume therefore that every other child eating the same diet has also experienced early onset of puberty?
  14. I quite agree that Palm PDAs are one of the greatest inventions known to mankind. Learn to use it you twit and you will never want to be without it.
  15. Are you one of those neon-sign laughers then?
  16. 'Ethical' is such a vague term that it is an imposs question to answer in its current form. I know that a company has listed on the LSE offering Sharia compliant investment. Is that what you had in mind? Or do you mean a bank that doesn't invest in condom manufacturers? Or once that uses recycled paper? Or one that doesn't kill whales? I know of a couple of so-called ethical funds in the City that have invested in stuff that would amaze their shareholders.

If all the banks are together on this one, then why don't all the consumers get together on it as well. Let's start a mass movement and all promise to move our accounts to the first big bank that dumps its draconian charges. I have a funny feeling that the prospect of a million new current accounts or something might make someone break rank in this obscene cartel.

  22. And what are your fetishes, my dear gal?
  23. morty Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Move banks! Why the f**k should I move banks when Barclays gives me such an opportunity to have a bitch and a moan? Joking apart, the only other local options are Lloyds or HSBC, again high street banks which prolly have much less customer service than a building society. I am hacked off at the thought of having to trek down to Camberwell or Peckham every time I need to lodge a cheque.

This post is prolly very clever, so clever it has gone completely over my head. Can you enlighten us KK?
