I offered an ideal solution to the missing cat epidemic that seems to be sweeping ED some time ago. Why has it not been taken up?

I think the way this entire thread has developed indicates the kind of wishy-washy, runny-brained, anti-intellectual, pro-zealot, pro @I can be more easily offended than you" type of "thinking" and reasoning that is a consequence of so-called political correctness. Reasonable, innocent people having to defend and justify themselves in the face of dreary, unimaginative Thought Police whose sole task is to sift through every utterance in the hope that they can identify something they can magnify and exaggerate in order to pretend to be offended. It utterly sickens me!
