  2. My garden has got in a bit of a mess, it needs weeding and tidying up, so I need someone who can come and sort it out for me.

  4. This is great news, restored my faith in the appeals process!!!! well done everyone, we must keep an eye on what happens next......
  5. Zak - hope you don't mind but have included your points in my objections as they were concise and to the point! not sure how successful the objections will be, but we have to do something, it would be criminal to demolish those cottages and build a bland block of flats! 6. Fernando has been again and worked his magic on my Ivy, which gets out of hand around my property. I highly recommend Fernando, he works hard, non stop, even in the rain, and he clears up as he goes. Thanks Fernando Again!!
  7. How sad....someone stealing plants. Many years ago when living over the boarder in Catford, I had some beautiful pots outside my front door, they were just at their best, and they disappeared overnight. I did report it to the Police but their attitude was what did I expect? But I had had the pots outside for years, I was by a Bus Stop and I always imagined people waiting at the Bus Stop were admiring my creations (My fingers are not very green - as my house plants will testify!)The pots were very heavy, so god knows how they moved them! Since moving to the rarefied area of ED, I have thought about putting pots outside the front again, but haven't got round to it. Sad world we live in sometimes......
  8. What a shame, though it has changed over resent years, when it first opened it was a real local treasure, their coleslaw was the best. Also I would often buy a whole quiche, when having friends round in the Summer, I never let on I had not made it myself!!
  9. I agree with Nigello, just ask your neighbour to trim their hedge and branches, sometimes people just do not see or realise their hedge is causing problems, also remember anyone with poor sight will just not see the branches and will get a swipe in the face of, sometimes, a very wet branch.
  10. Hi I also recommend Fernando, he has sorted out my Ivy, this time of year it gets out of control, and he has done a fantastic job. He is reliable and leave the garden clear and tidy, this is the second time I have used him.His fees are very reasonable. The best Gardener I have ever had!! Well done Fernando!

  12. Hi I have a small bathroom, it needs painting, just white, nothing elaborate. Can someone recommend a good decorator
  13. Myla & Davis (North Cross Rd) - went on Tuesday for the first time, came out feeling 10 years younger!! Great colour and cut, fantastic staff, and while I was there had a lovely cake and coffee as well!
  14. I highly recommend Fernando, there are numerous recommendations on this Forum, so you can search for his contact details. He did some work for an elderly friend of mine. He did an amazing job, and cleared and packed the cuttings into sacks, leaving the garden clean and tidy. He also trimmed other areas in the garden which needed it! Fernando is polite and punctual, and very hard working, and I have no hesitation in recommending him.
  15. Louise I'm with you totally on this, Southwark Council are one of the few Boroughs who will still collect large household items for free, there is no need to dump household waste in the streets.
  16. I highly recommend Fernando, he did some work for an elderly friend of mine in Penge on tuesday, he cut back ivy which had grown up the side of his cottage and partially covered the windows. He has done an amazing job, and cleared and packed the cuttings into sacks, leaving the garden clean and tidy. He also trimmed other areas in the garden which needed it! Fernando is polite and punctual, and very hard working, and I have no hesitation in recommending him.
  17. THE PRF is managed by Southwark Council Children's Department, I'm a bit surprised the building was being used at 4am in the morning, I would suggest an enquiry to the Council, and ask a few questions, after all it is your Council tax paying for the building.
  18. Farmers is the best shop in Lordship Lane, excellent value, not over inflated prices like the rest of the posh shops in LL, it is like Woolworths to me, if you need something, Farmers will have it, and if they haven't got it - you don't need it!
  19. Hi I have had BT vision since it started, and I have been very pleased with it, it is very reliable. When it started I did have a problem downloading films but now it is excellent and have never had problems since then.

  21. Usually the left hand side from the house, but it does vary I believe!
