  1. to do the right thing for the tiny tott
  2. Have to say BM doesnt really do it for me. I think the owner should show his face and get involved more. Another coffee shop will be opening soon on that stretch though.
  3. Tillie, have I done that a few times? oops, been so busy these days that sometimes i dont get time to scroll back. Being married for years can only be good....
  4. and it all ends up in the bins...
  5. Sean, would you like to be in my team?:)-D
  6. left out by the indian restaurants for their sins
  7. Hugue No. 3 has long handles too and is a bigger bag.No. 3 with longer handles is my vote. It feels good too. K
  8. he was feeling a nervous wreck...
  9. I think that Domitianus may have some thing there, perhaps ED could do with an aquarium selling exotic fish and tanks. An original idea. Maybe it could be next to Moxons fishmongers .:))
  10. Blimey Hugue This forum is being monitored now and personal attacks and slating of shops and services are regularly deleted by good old admin, freedom of speech still exists though. The tactic you mention was not a housing estate physical attack. Those guys at smbs are nice and friendly and I speak tongue in cheek. The shopkeepers and stall holders have a close bond and look out for each other and there is nothing worse then a gift shop or coffee shop or cafe' opening next door to another.Another card shop?? I just think its a waste of time and disrespectful unless of course its completely different. I have no problem with Ralon and I know the owner, however a stationers offering a wide variety of good services and different products to Ralon at good affordable prices for the community I think would work well. (tu)
  11. I have seen the bags and must say that no. 3 looks and feels the best for me. Sturdy for lots of shopping with long handles. Good for tall and shorter people. (tu)
  12. Here here Monica. I think a good stationers with a good range of products would be a hit, something different to Ralons. It seems that this card shop from Balham will be located near smbs foods at either the old unwins or the old sports shop. Greetings provides a great service and they are rather annoyed that many places have copied their range of cards in the area , now only to have another card shop open up across the road. Good job the guys at smbs are good friends with greetings, maybe they will scare off this new card shop and knock some sense into them, for their respectful friend across the road. :)
  13. The shop fitters are finally working at Walsh glazing. Mark, Its a prettier sight now, go take a look. here comes The White Stuff (tu) New coffee bar coming soon too.
  14. Its not ED but Il Giardino by Peckham Rye train station do lovely Pizzas too. Ed needs a real Italian Pizza place IMO. An original idea.
  15. Hello Dulwichmum :))
  16. I said hello this afternoon but you did not hear me :))
  17. If CSM is the dry cleaners by the roundabout then Im not surprised. The owner recently sold up some months ago.Have to say that the new owner is a nice chap though, however, I had some adjustments made to clothing by the old owner , they messed it up. A friend of mine took her best dress to be cleaned (by the new owner) and they ruined it.She is rather upset about it and she is just too nice to complain. These are my experiences and just putting them forward. I hope this thread does not start to slate this shop though. Admin be ready please.
  18. Nutty I followed you down LL, was about to jump you and take your elise money. Now that would be a sight.Especially as I live so close to you. Glad you wised up :))
  19. James, gosh you are demanding, I am only allowed to answer a few for now. Shoe shop will be in the last unit to the right. Bombay is not coming, old gossip Ludlow is taking the empty shop next door Flash coffee shop maybe(cant say which) Old afro barbers may be some kind of gift shoppee Plough, no idea Big shop next to plough probably a mini asian supermarket Sainsburys wanted police st apparently but will not happen now, block of flats instead is last i heard. Hope that satisfies your curiosity
  20. Fair enough mama I own several of these units in the area and know many of the shopkeepers and pop my head in now and again. If there is a choice to be made between a shop opening and selling the same product as another shop round the corner and a shop opening and selling something truely original and sought after, which do you think should be chosen?Personally I think the latter as it would cause zero stress between our nice traders. I assure you these ugly closed down shops will be plugged soon starting with Walsh glazing.
  21. Shaman It will be a different kind of coffee bar if all works well. Dont diss it just yet.If you are a real shaman as your name suggests then perhaps you should cast a spell and make originality in east dulwich permanent. Why you ask? Just overheard that another boutique may be coming to LL. Then again,it could be entirely different to the others.
  22. I was hoping that its service would have changed by now as I mentioned on an earlier thread, but they do not listen, not even to humble old me (or young me) as I am a very local landlord. ( I keep repeating myself I know). Its a shame really as the place used to get real busy and have a great vibe. Oh well, there is still time. That new tea shop up the road will probably take alot of its custom.
  23. I think if it needs lighting then it should be solar powered.
  24. Tillie, If I did then the guessing game would be over .;-) Are you Tillie?
  25. Belle good idea for bumping it,it will remind people. So are you brave enough to attend the edf meet? ;-)
