  1. Weepu choking, Donald on. The only difference between the two teams is Joubert, who is everywhere for the Blacks.
  2. All Blacks by 25.
  3. A condition for entry to the Euro should have been that only countries where you can flush bog roll down the bog could join.
  4. Dead kennedys still tour, albeit without Jello.
  5. Alan Brilliant documentary. I don't think there's ever been a better centre than Mike Gibson.
  6. 17. I don't believe this is the test. I'm very English and well clever.
  7. Maxxi Damn you and your accurate predictions.
  8. Not enough boorish jingoism on this thread. It's rugger for ruddy's sake. Come on England. Let 's smash the Filthies!
  9. As long as you don't dawdle on the paths, slowing us saturday morning runners up, I don't give a damn. Why is it people walk so damn slowly. Some of us are trying to get fit and you're not helping. And any other runners on Peckham rye tomorrow: don't smile at me. I'm not there to socialise and exchange pleasantries I am there to fulfill my middle life obsession with cracking two hours for the half marathon. So nick off the lot of you.
  10. I just heard that. Dreadful news.
  11. Isn't it just the purest of pleasures to see the mire Forest are in. And yet the nature of that ghastly club is that they thrive out of adversity. When last the East Midlands Juve had bested them on all fronts, a gobby northener arrived and propelled them within no time to a level beyond all precedent and prediction. Even now, diminished by dipsomania, scandal and malfeasance, they pull in crowds three times that of more deserving clubs north of the Trent. But perhaps this time the times are changing.
  12. Definitive scene witnessed on Lordship Lane on Saturday. The two Green Party geezers drumming up support outside the Co-Op call to a young woman passing by to take a leaflet. Said young woman turns towards them, she adopts a self-righteous posture and says she'll read it on-line as it's more environmentally friendly. As she walks off victorious she plunges the dagger deeper saying she doesn't think it's very green of them to print their material on paper. Defeated and diminished, the (fair trade) linen clad greenies reply meekly that it is recycled paper. But they've lost and they know it. I smile at them sympathetically and they smile back. But I'm sure self-doubt will eat away at them for the next few weeks. SNUB - Self-righteous "No" to Unwanted Booklets
  13. Merely an edit to clarify what I meant. I'm not proud of it. So who wins the quarters. My money's on: England, Ireland, UnZud and The Bokke. Ireland All Black final.
  14. I think Ireland's backs are inspired. D'Arcy is a world beater and BOD's genius endures. They will certainly rip the eyeties a new one. But I reckon they'll win by loads. [edited to cover tracks]
  15. I think Ireland's backs are poor; they certainly played poorly against the crims. Wales look ok. No way the All Blacks are going to lose, is there!?
  16. I think Johnson and his team are clueless. Why are Deacon and Tindall in the team. Why did Stevens and Wilkinson come out for the second half. First scrum with Corbs on they get the shove and a penalty. They've even coached the talent out of Youngs. Jebus. Thing is, you can see them making the final.
  17. I have a tenner on Daggerblow using tipex on it before the RWC is out.
  18. In case the mocker gods are forumites: Scotland by 15.
  19. ITV's coverage is pretty awful, although I like Girve the Swerve, Fitzpatrick and Bayfield. 830 tomorrow for the sacking of Scotland
  20. 'I think everyone is more than capable of making their own decision on whether to use / not use an amber necklace, and if they do, whether to leave it on or not at night!' They certainly are; enlightened now by a diversity of views, including the right one!
  21. Sue Damn straight. It shows an utter disregard for the appearance of the area. Where I live you would need to get permission to erect a four foot statue of a smurf in your front garden.
  22. "Being open to different kinds of 'treatment' or whatever heading amber necklaces might come under, does not necessarily mean the people who buy them are hippy dippy space cadets who need to be given unsolicited basic safety advice". Someone higher up the thread suggests it's ok to wear them 24/7. And another forumite asks "'does anyone leave it on for sleeptime". So not unsolicited My opinion would be you should not. Indeed even the Amber Pumpkin people, who also NB claim amber has some efficacy against Bubonic Plague, suggest you should not. See here http://www.amberpumpkin.com/amber-teething-necklace-faqs.html
  23. Your choice. But be safe. Don't leave the things on your child overnight.
  24. HelloSailor I've provided a reference for your cut and paste, here: http://www.amberpumpkin.com/amber-teething-necklaces-do-they-work.html I would have been very surprised had an organisation flogging amber necklaces said they were a load of old phooey.
