  1. Very poor workmanship - appalling, in fact. I'd be ashamed if I'd done that in a DIY sense, so for a professional to have presented that to you as a finished piece of work... well. The mind boggles.
  2. I'd like to remove the spotlights in my kitchen ceiling. Trouble is, I'm not sure how to go about filling the holes they'll leave behind. Has anyone had this done? And if so, could you recommend the company that did it?
  3. Just got back from EDT. Great boozer, but the new table layout in the left-hand bar is a total shambles. You can't move, let alone sit down. Stick the sofas back in this room and shift the tables back where they belong in the right-hand room please!
  4. Not been the same since the skinny dude with the flip flops left. He was ace.
  5. If MEATmission in Hoxton is anything to go by, I'll not be rushing in. Had a Dead Hippie in there which may well have contained just that for all the rancid taste it gave off. A truly horrific burger.
  6. You might have some joy at the Little Clipper

No, I didn't. Mrs TP - you can buy them here quite cheaply. Probably set you back about a quid a month if you get through 3 or 4 a week: http://www.caddylinersdirect.co.uk/shop/
  8. Yes, I saw that. It was quite well publicised. Not at all sure what's so sneaky about it - councils are having to make cuts.

  10. Haven't eaten in, but have bought plenty of stuff to cook at hom. All extremely delicious, and as far as my taste buds are concerned, nothing like the stuff you can pick up in Sainsbury's etc

  12. Alastair Campbell's aged a bit, hasn't he?
  13. Wasn't impressed when I visited in December, but if the management/chefs etc have changed in the past few months might be tempted back...
  14. KK: About 12.10pm Nigello: Normally I would - and have - but I was starkers at the time. I wouldn't inflict that on anyone. magnificentstan: Glad to hear you clean up - thanks - but many others don't. Just so we're clear, I love dogs and I'm not a curtain-twitcher. Just sick of the amount of turds on the pavements. You feed a dog, play with it, pay its vets bills, take it for walks... so PLEASE clean up after it, too. It takes 5 seconds, plus maybe another minute until you can put the mess in a bin. Not a big ask.
  15. I was in my bathroom on CPR and have just seen your dog crapping by the tree outside 236 Crystal Palace Road. You did too, as you bent down to check that your little white and black pooch had indeed done his/her business. You're wearing blue jeans and a black leather coat. You're a smoker. Kindly come back and remove your dog's turds. Thanks.
  16. Not sure we should start putting the boot in. They may well have had every intention of staying and putting down roots, but then the market went nuts, their investment doubled in the blink of an eye... and they decided to cash in. Who wouldn't be tempted?

  18. Are you guys all on holiday/having days off/retired/unemployed?
  19. Your alarm has been going hell for leather for the last 2 hours. No sign of any break-in.
  20. THM is extremely shut. Weeds growing in the front & everything.
  21. Maccy Ds sold off their stake in Pret at least five years ago...
  22. Actually, it's 'n'est-ce pas' et je demande mes cinq euros.
  23. Grim. There's a gaff like that near TGE on CPR. Hold my breath every time I pass it.
