  1. The key words you have not commented on are Reckless and agressive cycling
  2. It was in the Labour Manifesto. Last paragraph on page 7 out of 10 in small print. Under the heading of healthy living. By the time you got to it you were brain dead from all that went before Suspect people never even made it that far
  3. Pretty sure From memory Sainsburys had a huge recycling plant up North for just
  4. I was under the impression that most plastic bags came from recycled plastic and old bags. Cannot see the bulk of bags coming from virgin plastic which is vey expensive.

This could have been done when whatley road was closed for road works just a few weeks ago.

  7. Perhaps you are not spending enough?
  8. When will people realise and accept that what will be will be. All these consultations are just window dressing. It has already been decided. Why use consultants? So Southwark Officers and Cllrs can say not our fault we were only following expert advice and safeguard their jobs. Not a new concept. Who knows best old established residents not frightened of their own shadows who don't have to follow the current trend We must conform to the current in vogue trend. All that will happen is TMO will appear in local paper read by a few and that will be it. Have fun folks
  9. What happens? Each ward votes on the quiet way, what happens if one ward votes against it happening in their ward. I.e. Champion Hill votes against a quiet way. Then what does it just get bulldozed through? If this would be the case why consult in the first place? Suspect the whole thing is rigged anyway and consultations just a cover. What % of the ward is needed. Rather how many votes are needed. % figures mean zip but Southwark like them because they then say "but most people want it"
  10. Would someone explain why another main through route is under threat of closure. What is the thinking behind this? What possible benefit will this bring apart from nimbyism. Like MG it smacks of turning the area into a gated selected area. These routes have always been there and used for the benefit of all

Why can you not admit you have got it all wrong. Figures, figures figures why not just pure common sense
  12. So 85% driving safely does not count. The minority once again takes front stage. sounds like the modern thinking. Again using figures to back your opinion.
  13. I have spent most of the day on the move in South London and not matter were you go Conway has the roads up. Latest top of Camberwell Grove junction along with all the pavements up. Perhaps this is where the NCR workers are now.

I do think you will try any which way to make your view into what you think it should be for all. They were never rat runs even when they were open. Could never understood why they were closed in the first place.

But none of these roads are well used roads like MG I do wish you would not throw in bits that are meaningless but somehow you feel they confirm your pet desire.
  16. 12.30 spotted 2 men in high viz jackets seated in a parked up lorry on NX road. Still there when I cam back
  17. If Cllr Barber proposed putting in a barrier to the DCC would he expect other Cllrs to follow his "moral lead" and not get stuck in and just pass the motion through. Posted by James Barber August 05, 02:01PM Hi ZT,FM, WRT Townley Road/EDG junction I promoted the issue widely, chased when things would come to DCC. Explained deputations and petitions to several groups and generally made a public and private fuss. I explained why I was doing this due to impacts on East Dulwich ward traffic. But the junction is relatively small well into a neighbouring ward. I felt morally limited as a councillor from getting truly 'stuck-in' as I would hope other councillors would when the same happens in East Dulwich ward. -------------------- Regards [email protected] 07900 227366 Liberal Democrat Councillor for East Dulwich Ward Skype cllrjamesbarber [www.jamesbarber.org.uk] [twitter.com]
