  1. Sometimes the app doesn't work as it should. Definitely still free. Try the Web version if still no luck as there are glitches with the app.
  2. Please come along and support, this is one of our main fundraisers this year and we rely on the community to help raise vital funds for additional resources. Thank you! 🙂
  3. It's usually if your property is adjoining or very close to the property where work is being done. As others have stated, chimney breast removal and structural walls removal definitely require your consent and your neighbour will be responsible for paying your party wall surveyors fees. They probably don't want to pay additional money but that's the law so the law is on your side. It's a safeguard at the end of the day and if you want to quote the law at your neighbour to make them take responsibility I would get a solicitors letter (few hundred pounds but money well spent as property worth a lot and a lot can go wrong with building work so best to cover yourself). https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/preventing-and-resolving-disputes-in-relation-to-party-walls/the-party-wall-etc-act-1996-explanatory-booklet you may find useful
  4. a friend of mine was duped at this cash machine too a month or so ago. They distracted her then took card, PIN and money.
  5. 148 on Lordship Lane
  6. Highly recommend Classic Lofts. They did our loft (mid terrace) and substantial refurb to move 1st floor bathroom and bedroom around. Team were great, they used specialist contractors and the tiler, plumber and other tradespeople were all excellent - professional and highly skilled. Shane project managed, Bernard occasionally stepped in where needed, and overall the quality was brilliant. We just had a slate come loose, Shane replied same day then we agreed for them to come around a few days later and he has now repaired. Absolutely would recommend very highly. Hard to find such good companies you can trust these days (we had a bad experience with kitchen builders).
  7. Now dropped off at Dulwich dental clinic. Hope they reach their owner
  8. Distinctive reusable bag with people printed on it. Doorkey inside with pink keyring. Please DM if it's yours and I can drop off to somewhere on Lordship Lane

  12. Please contact me if you are available or have a recommendation Much appreciated
  13. I've had covid twice that I know about and am pretty sure I have had it twice more without testing positive... Both times I had it it came in waves, so my advice is make sure you rest up properly, otherwise it can last even longer. Get loads of vitamins, esp C and D, and as much sleep as possible. Hope you feel better soon. Best wishes
  14. I had severe back issues a few years ago and found a steroid injection helped me back on my feet - basically eased the pain whilst I built the muscles back up to help prevent future problems. I found Has-Fit videos (search on YouTube - they're free) excellent - search for lower back exercises and you will find the majority focus on strengthening glutes and mobilising your hips where possible. Pilates and yoga are excellent. If swimming be careful with breaststroke as it can cause more issues. My brother has issues with back, shoulders, neck and knees due to being very tall, so yes I definitely think you're right that can be a cause, along with lots of other things. Hope his pain eases soon - for short term relief try Voltarol gel and also add in lots of anti-inflammatory foods (google and you'll get a list) especially ginger tea and turmeric is another good one. Best wishes
  15. I saw him on the phone to his manager... wondered what he was going to do - glad I wasn't witness to that !
  16. Does sound a bit rude to be honest. We have vegetarian and vegan recipe books and have tried some from online but over the years I've had some great recipes passed on from friends and family... and I love talking to people (online or in person) and so here I am chatting on a forum! Thanks to everyone else for your tips and suggestions, I'm going to give a few of them a try! 🙂 P.S. my husband has done a ton of research but I'm adding to his collection...I find life is nicer that way Sue 😉 Good reminder, I find BBC GoodFood recipes really helpful and generally pretty easy
  17. My husband became pescetarian a few years ago and now wants to be vegetarian / poss vegan eventually - for health benefits but also concerned about animal welfare etc. I would love some inspiration from those who've tried and tested many veggi recipes, as I often get stumped and stick with my usual tomato and veg based pasta or cauliflower / mushroom curries. Thanks!
  18. Eden Caterers are amazing - https://www.edencaterers.london/
  19. I'd also assume that pollution is worsened when the weather is hotter and there is less breeze blowing about... Humid high temps definitely make it feel more difficult to breathe and the latest London bus design remains as rubbish as ever, with hardly any air circulating from the tiny windows. You'd think someone would have addressed by now - another great innovation in Boris the mayor's time.
  20. I noticed it too when walking to the station... The fire details you found sound quite likely, as it definitely doesn't smell like usual burnt toast or burning rubbish etc.
  21. Great to see productive meetings happening on LTNs and a more balanced view being taken into account. I'm personally against as I don't think they help improve the air quality and just increase pollution (through slow moving traffic on main roads like Lordship Lane and through Dulwich Village) and must be horrendous for those living on those main roads. Surely the aim has to be to encourage more people to use public transport as well as cycling and walking? LTNs just slow down buses on main roads and as far as I can see benefit a minority of people.
  22. The road surface looks really bad near the station (across the road near the DIY shop), looks like it melted at some point! Not sure if that is also being resurfaced... Huge inconvenience, hope they sort it out before school term starts but sounds like more work is planned next week!
  23. My sons have attended this holiday club since they were 4 yrs old and love it - go to www.nimblearts.co.uk to see what the activities and themes are / more info / to book.
  24. A great new addition to the area and definitely brightens it up near the station...
  25. until
