  1. We ordered from Boots airside and they had no record of our order when we arrived. Luckily they had the items in stock, but don't rely completely on that service.
  2. Buying the next bike for my daughter and the local bike shop has said she's better off on a Frog 52 rather than the 48 we were looking at. My understanding is that Islabikes tend to be in between Frog sizes so I'd like to see if my daughter can fit on a Beinn 20 large or if a small is better. If anyone has either of those two Islabikes that you wouldn't mind us seeing, I'd be very grateful. Thanks and please PM if you can help.
  3. Has anyone rented a group of villas in Spain or Portugal as opposed to one large villa? We have 4 families each with 2-3 children under 11 and would ideally like to rent 4 villas that share a pool and play areas. Would rather not be on a large site where there are other villas/apartments. I'm not sure we'll find what we're looking for in which case we'll opt for one large villa instead, but if anyone does have recommendations, please pm. Thanks.
  4. Thanks everyone! Great suggestions. We had already gone through the usual kiddy friendly websites (baby friendly boltholes, etc), but most of the suitable places on those sites are already booked up. Love the look of the villas suggested. Cheers.
  5. Can anyone recommend a villa in Italy (preferably Tuscany, but elsewhere possible) that has a pool and is toddler friendly? Have searched owners direct and it's difficult sometimes to see safety aspect of pools/general property so a recommendation would be preferable. Saw two forumites have villas there, but one place is massive (we're just a family of 4) and the other is booked up. Thanks!
  6. Yes, have one that I borrowed from a friend who is also on the forum. They're happy for you to borrow. Will pm you.
  7. Great stuff. We're planning a couple of camping trips this summer. Have previously done festivals, but relied heavily on the food stalls and didn't spend an awful lot of time at the tent. Any other must have suggestions for a not-so-keen camper to make life easier? Won't be at a festival this time. Need to look into cool boxes, cooking equipment, etc.
  8. Midivydale - I've only used it in the odd curry or to flavour rice. Haven't tried it as a general milk substitute. Will give it a go.
  9. I love reading other people's meal suggestions. Does anyone have any easy suggestions for an 8 month old who can't have dairy, eggs, tomato or avocado?? Milk substitutes just don't seem to work well in cooking and I don't think she has enough variety. I've found sweet potatoes make a good mash alternative without needing butter/milk. Any other tips greatly appreciated!
  10. If there are any other parents of children entering reception at St Anthony's this September who would like to meet up before term starts, pm me. Would be nice to arrange a get together for the kids in the park so there's a few familiar faces for them on the first day.
  11. I love a good statistic as much as the next person, but unfortunately that doesn't help me find out more about this particular school and any negative points. From my understanding of posts above points of concern are that a teacher left suddenly (no idea what reason was), facilities will be an issue once new reception take over current lunch room (I was aware of that from the school tour), planning is not yet in place (yes the move date is one of the bigger concerns for me) and some parents are unhappy (but we don't know why). Oh and it's Harris. Calls for parents to do their research doesn't really help when we've got all the info we can from the school, council and parents who have posted positive feedback. Unless the parents who aren't happy tell us why (on here or by pm) I'm not sure what more I can do in terms of "research". Anyone with positive/negative experience of this school (not just Harris in general), please feel free to pm me. Thanks.
  12. Ours brought a set of books with an electronic reader. She prefers it to audio books as there is the novelty of being able to press the buttons on the reader as she turns the page. In addition it buys me some valuable feeding time for bubs! I've only seen Disney ones though.
  13. Hi there. We are about to hit "submit" on our 2015 application and I just saw a copy of the letter that went out to parents about the head teacher moving to a different Harris & the head from Peckham taking over here. Seems very early days to be making a change in leadership... anyone able to help clarify how this change has/will affect the school? I will try to speak to them directly, but am aware the clock is ticking for our application. Thanks.
  14. I'll be at the Plough this afternoon with my 3 year old. Probably a little earlier - 3ish - so if anyone else arrives early, msg me here or on WhatsApp group.
  15. Congratulations Jemma! So glad it all was OK. Good luck for Monday Anya. xx
  16. Congratulations LHF! I heard through the baby ballet grapevine. Enjoy those newborn cuddles and yes, definitely up for catching up when you're ready. Jemma, good luck tomorrow if you're going for the ECV.
  17. Won't make yoga again this weekend as off for a lovely spa break for my birthday...hurrah! Shame I won't be able to use so many of the facilities, but am looking forward to my pregnancy massage. LHF, I can do Thursday, but only from around 2:45pm and will have my 3 year old with me. Otherwise, catch up with you all another time.
  18. Does anyone know the brand of panettone that the East Dulwich Deli used to sell? The one I'm after was a chocolate and Chantilly cream one. Bought for rellies previously and they've asked for another. Thanks.
  19. Hoping to make it to Victoria just after 3, but my daughter had a bad night's sleep so will see how she's doing after pick up from nursery. Edited to say, unfortunately won't make it. As predicted, little one is shattered and not up for heading out. Catch you all next time.
  20. Hi. Unfortunately won't make Victoria lunch today, but will probably be at Goose Green playground after picking my daughter up from nursery so around 1:30pm. I'm around for weekday catch ups, but can only do kiddy free some mornings otherwise can generally do from 1pm with my daughter.
  21. I won't make yoga this time, but will aim to head to PRR for around 10:45am.
