  1. Yeah, when it's like that fair do's maybe (and they get like that by the fingerers in the first place). Mostly though the top ones fine, they still want the one that's below. Sometimes even 2 or 3 below. Think it's more likely KKs reasoning. 2. Newspaper fingerers. The ones that won't take the top free newspaper from the box at stations, must have the one below the top one. What's wrong with top one?
  3. Stroked her whippet in Franklins a couple of times. (Not a euphemism)
  4. As advised previously. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,1393699,1393706#msg-1393706 Loz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The best thing you can do it hit the 'Report this > Message' link under every post. 9. Weather looks great and a crackin part of world. Windy yesterday though. Heading Actress now. They have a mix of it on big screen and little screen when football on. Not sure if that will work. Willing to give it a crack though. From what I'm hearing on my radio it's getting close. Rose solid.
  10. I'll be back...great afo watching today. Be there again noonish tomorra. Played 8 holes today. Aiming for a full round tomorrow. It's 3.5 to 2.5 isn't it? 14. Heading to Actress JohnL. Can't picture what's going on when listening on ma Tranny.
  15. On at Actress if interested. Doors open at noon today, then 10am Sat and Sun. This will not help my 6 x 6 policy!
  16. Not the same "watching" it on radio. Wonder if any pubs will have it on. Taken day off work so will investigate a bit later. I was a waiter at Gleneagles years ago. Closest I ever got to the course. JohnL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Started now - Europeans wearing Scottish type > jerseys today > > Good atmosphere

  19. HaHa...on leave and having a staycation. I've just returned from my "field trip". Walked at half my usual pace. From the bus stop, upto lights and back down to Tyrell. 2 mins 54 seconds. If I started the watch opposite Tyrell (as you would have to walk that far anyway) you can knock a minute off the time. I'd do that or more likely just cross the road when no traffic was coming. With buggy, I'd invest the 1 minute 54 and walk to the lights at Barry's. Is there anything of interest happening north of the border.. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I can see us both pacing the streets with a stop > watch soon ! 20. So, mobility issues aside, how much of a detour do you estimate it is to follow the route I suggest to get across to Tyrell Road - Im going out in a minute and will time it!. I cant help you get further along the road once you get across, just offering a suggestion that its not a 2 day camel ride to walk upto the lights at Barrys.
  21. If Tyrell Rd is where I think it is, Id walk upto the traffic lights outside Barrys then walk back down to Tyrell and proceed from there. How much of a detour is that? ETA: As much as I'd like it, I cant go around laying down a magic crossing at every place that suits me so I have a direct route of where I want to get to. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yes ,Clockhouse end is my understanding as well . > > So if you got off bus at stop by pizza > place/barbers and wanted to go down Tyrell Rd > ,where would you cross ?
  22. OP mentioned Barry Road at Parade of shops. Clockhouse end is what I thought they meant. ETA: Also this: "The zebra crossing needs to be by the parade of shops (near the barbers and pizza shop) its a nightmare waiting for a lull in the traffic to rush across the road with a buggy and other children holding on" intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tyrell Rd and beyond ?
  23. So if you want to go to The Clockhouse for a pint you need another crossing to get there. Or if you want to cross over to Clochouse side (from Roy Brooke's) presumably if you are not going for a pint, you will either cross and 1) continue to walk down Peckham Rye toward Peckham? In this case, how about using the Zebra at The Vets, cross over to Park side. Proceed on your way to Gardens Cafe Zebra, and cross back over, if you need to be on the houses side. 2) you are at Roy Brooke's and want to cross, and are not doing what's outlined in 1 above, presumably you are heading up Barry Road, toward Barry's, Boulangerie Jade? In this case walk up to the Traffic Lights at Barry's and cross there. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Mmm ,let's think . > > If you got off the bus at the stop by Roy Brookes > and wanted to cross safely over Barry Rd to the > Clock House side you'd walk up the road to the > zebra at Barrys shop and the down the road again > to the Clock House . 24. There is a Zebra crossing at The Gardens Cafe (Gymboree), a Zebra crossing at The vets. An island between Roy Brooke's and The Clockhouse. 50 yards up the road is a pedestrian crossing at Barry's. You need another crossing to save little legs? Little legs get a little stronger with a little walking.
