  10. When something as brutal as this happens, hardly think I'd be worried about semantics. I may have described it as on the deck....and that would have nothing to do with a ship. Alex K Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "Beating the man with clubs on the floor". Never > would it occur to me to describe the situation > thus. Certainly "...on the ground", maybe "...on > the pavement", but "...on the floor"? No. > > When did "floor" move out-of-doors?
  11. I had a shouter on the train this morning. Move down carriage, lots of room etc. I'm all for that and always move down. This woman though, moved into the vacant space with a massive rucksack on her back. Didn't take it off or make any attempt to clear a bit of space herself. Mind boggles.
  12. Midge is Omnipresent North of the border. He is ALWAYS with you...just close your eyes, breathe and bingo. It's a lifestyle thing... 14. Sorry to see england not progress. the atmosphere and feelgood factor is great when they are in and progressing. this brought a wry smile this morning: My wife said to me this week: "Whenever a World Cup game is on, let's eat something to do with the competing team for dinner that night." When the Mexico game was on, we had burritos. When Spain played we had paella. The Japan game, we had noodles. USA night, we had burgers. Italy, we had pizza. Tuesday is England, so we're going out...

  16. A gentle tune, nice, and one of ours, to ease the early exit. I had hoped for England to be in longer as the atmos and good feel is great in pubs etc. All is not lost. Wimbledon starts on Monday.
  17. Reckon if England beat Costa Rica they will be a shoe in for the Euros.
  18. Was always for residents and a key was required. Before Keir took over the maintnece etc, Mitch and his team had an office in the Gardens. Was great, could just pop round and get things sorted. Thats where you also got the key for a ?10 deposit. The smaller local touch has gone now with Grainger / Keir I think. If you are a Grianger resident email them. Im sure they will sort it out for you.
