  1. Alastair McGowan , but only around the ankles.
  2. Nobody mentioned the blatant drug deal yet?
  3. Bowling with Raj Persaud...weirdly funny MrBen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > And the table tennis with General Sir Mike Jackson > was bizarre and hilarious.
  4. I found a full set of golf clubs out on the street a while back. Wonder if it's related....
  5. I watched at bit of this at my work. Some poor sap got carted of with whiplash after the rugby team started taking the contact element too far. Looked like a load of fun upto that point though.
  6. Not familair with that one *Bob* Loads of demi-johns outside and weird and wonderful stuff. The garden at the Uplands one was very tame - just a paved yard out back compared to Dunstans. *Bob* Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Was the one with the windmill one of his as well?
  7. Yep...a builder chap who spent most of his time in Spain. I recall the one on Dunstans had an ecletic decoration and included stuffed fish in cases...
  8. I used to live in Pertol pump flat on Uplands road. Upper flat. Had friends living in the one on dunstans. Amazing garden and folly in the back. Some great taxidermy going on inside as well if i recall correctly!
  9. Postie Pubs - open at 5am for the shift working postmen. Market Porter at Borough Market an early opener for the market workers.
  10. I was never involved but the whole turn the pint tumbler upside down was the sign you wanted to fight the best man in the pub. I never let my pint out my sight the rare occasion I was in there. Some "wag" would no doubt turn it upside down and big Tam would stride out the back! Back on topic. The Gowlett although not SE22 is for me my favourite boozer. Only been in Castle a handful of times but enjoyed my pint in there.
  11. Back o Hill Tavern in Stirling. Turn your empty pint glass upside down on the bar and out the back you went to fight big Tam Begley.
  12. Rorys caddie has done well over the last few weeks. I wouldnt mind that job. MM: You reckon he can carry on and win 3 in a row? Be some achievement that.
  13. I can't see it on STV player. Stream down. They are getting pelters for it on Twitter...
  14. He's down at Rye Lane regularly, busy assisting the bus drivers with their traffic management. I have seen him on occasion act in an intimidating manner...mostly at passing motorists who don't get his take on the Highway Code. Once saw him get a bit shirty in Inside72, but on the whole seems harmless enough...
  15. Southerdon (sp) for cakes and more...beside Cafe Viva, opposite the Thomas Calton Education Centre. Think she is applying for a licence now as well. The Lions Head is a mythical beast. Old Nuns head, Nags Head. Take your pick. binary_star Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Jeremy Wrote: > ---------------------------------------------- > > Peckham for...the best patisserie for miles > around > > Which place? > > And where is the Lion's Head!?
  16. I'm partial to blending 2 hours in Bishop (12.30-2.30ish), onto Palmerston and outside if it's sunny and topping off with The Gowlett till the 6o'clock klaxon sounds...
  17. I haven't heard him for ages, moved slightly further down Peckham Rye. I reckon if you were to go onto Peckham Rye opposite the Gardens Dr surgery, and walk directly across toward the other side you will find him there. Walking back and forth. Just a hunch.
  18. Not ED Jocky but a good wee Saturday can be had down The Montpellier, Bar Story, Peckham Springs. All SE15, all a short walk from EDT end of LL. ETA: The Gowlett is also on that route and a good stop...and pizzas are great. I'm partial to The Bishop on a Saturday between 1pm and 6pm. Home for 6 with my 6 pints by 6pm regime. Welcome to ED. I arrived over 10 years ago from Scotland, thinking I'd be around for about 6 months. Still here.
  19. Squash was amazing. Women and men. 5 games in the men's, 1 hour 40 mins. That's hard graft on what looks like a small court. You won't see tennis pros sweating like that... miga Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Great to see a bit of squash on the telly. 20. That thread title had the potential for an awkward autocorrect.
  21. Men wearing rings on their Index finger.
  22. There is a pub called The Lions Head on Bellenden Road? Who knew...
  23. Agree. I'd be sending that away to Countryfile! Dopamine1979 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Wrong thread or not that is an amazing photo!
  24. Wrong thread T-E-D , the good lines one is a few below! the-e-dealer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It always makes me think of Minge.
