  1. We are a couple of roads up from Pellatt, this is a lovely part of ED, really love being so close to everything! V minor comment, and may not apply but one of the roads in this vicinity (I think it's Pellatt but could be wrong) has houses with no realistic storage for bins. There are houses with steps up to front door or down to cellar level so presumably v awkward lugging bins up or down. The paths end up with all the bins on them (not sure if this is just bin day or every day) but if you have mobility issues or are pushing a pram it's really awkward getting round them all. Probably not relevant but is genuinely the only negative I know of and Ive here for the last 5 years.
  2. I've only been to one class locally where the teacher had absolutely no idea how toddlers work. I didn't go back! There are lots of great sessions that do accept toddlers acting normally. Little Bubbles and Beas bop spring to mind. Can you pm me the name of the class concerned? I would rather know these things in advance of trying classes. Thankyou X
  3. Gambados is fantastic for the kids, my daughter and son both love it (I just turned 2, L 8 mths). If you buy an annual pass it's a cheap morning out. I only go quiet times so it's fine, however, the customer service is an absolute joke and they fail to provide contractual benefits they are obliged to, are aware of this but simply choose to do nothing about it. Don't expect to gain speedy entrance they claim to provide at busy times (the reality is they only open a member gate at half term). Also if you have a second baby, you don't get the second child discount unless you take their membership out at the same time as the first child - ie your renewal falls on baby 2's 1st birthday! If my children didn't enjoy it so much I wouldn't choose to deal with them.
  4. The Plough is a great daytime venue for mums and babies. Loads of space for buggies and child friendly. No enclosed play area so not so easy with toddlers but definitely recommend.

  6. We found gripe water worked best for us. Also used infacol but wasn't convinced it worked like the gripe water did.
  7. I second Lochie, sorry. We were in A&E with our daughter, it took ages!! Basically as per Fuschia, but with the sterile pot with funnel on. There were two of us, we took it in turns having her and the pad on lap and holding pot at the ready! We were also given stick on bags to try, totally useless with girls unfortunately.
  8. Can you drop in? Fab if you can :) Thankyou
  9. What age would you recommend a gro clock works from, I suspect I is old enough to understand the whole sun / moon difference but I would be very surprised if she was old enough to follow the rules.
  10. Thank you :) I have been putting her to bed normal time and then leaving her to play. It is getting better... She goes to bed at 7, night one she fell asleep around 930, night 2, 830 and tonight she went to bed at 6 and has just gone off now :) She is still very excited by the whole bed thing but I think tiredness has finally got the better of her tonight :)
  11. Ooh trampolining..... Sounds good. What age group is it? How many sessions do you have to book in advance? Thanks Clare

But maybe I don't need that bit at all? > > Here's what it is: Microscooter for 1yr+ My daughter had one from very young, around 15/16 Months I think. She started playing on the big children's scooterscandcwas infatuated by them, hence letting her use hers much earlier than anticipated. It's a bit slow at first but they get the hang of it really quickly. I found she was really good indoors but the last bit to master was steering. She is 23 months now and goes pretty fast, although not so keen uphill I've noticed!
  13. Thanks Ruth :) Ended up making a next day delivery order of a quilt, pillow and quilt cover set yesterday. Decided against the gro bag quilt. I climbed out her cot yesterday afternoon! I put her down for her afternoon nap and shortly afterwards there was a huge crash followed by crying! One side off last night and the full monty tonight once the new quilt set arrives. I wasn't great going to bed last night, took advantage of her new found freedom. Once asleep she slept well and didnt fall out. Any tips on bedtime (ie them staying in their bed), or is it just a matter of time?

  15. Don't forget, if two kids under 2 ie not in own seat, the seat between you and your partner (one seat in row) needs to be left empty (or you need to sit in different rows). There are only 4 oxygen masks per row.
  16. This has happened to our cream carpet, twice! I second not using anything on it, to do so can prevent the professional carpet cleaners getting the stain out, or the product used can itself mark / take the colour out the carpet. I totally soaked (as in saturated) the area with cold clean water(took a washing up bowl full to area) dabbing not rubbing with a clean cloth. I then used lots of towels to pull the water out (towel laid on wet patch, put all weight on towel and repeat until towel no longer picks up water -this takes a few towels) I then repeated until stain appeared to have gone, and left a clean dry towel covering the damp patch. Both occasions stain came out. Would also recommend Tony carpet cleaner (recommended on here if you search carpet cleaner). Good luck
  17. We have recently bought our daughter a ready bed, she loves it. Only difficulty is she isn't in a bed at home so bedtime isn't easy given her new found freedom and excitement at having a Peppa Pig ready bed!
  18. We flew EASYJET in September, 2 under 2 and a double buggy. Couldn't fault them, really good. Buggy folded up at gate and priority boarding. Didn't have to pay for buggy ( you can take two items of cot/cars eat/buggy per child I think). Worth taking a sling as you may have to wait for buggy other end. I was really pleasantly surprised
  19. My daughter will be 2 later this month, I am thinking it may be nice to convert her cot to a bed on her birthday as i think she will be very excited by that. Just been looking at duvet options, they seem to come in 4 or 7 tog. Her gro bags are 2.5 tog but I've no idea which. Is correct given we have 13 tog!! Can anyone advise? Should I get a normal cot bed duvet and pillow or is it worth getting one of the gro bag attached one's? They look good but I wonder if they just delay the inevitable learning to not throw quilt off / fall out. Final question, once the cot is swapped to a bed it doesn't have guards.... It's very low so is the expectation they learn from (inevitably) falling out of bed or is the norm to buy bed guards / one of the attached duvet things? Never realised there were so many considerations to something so simple!! Advice, tips and experience all welcome, thank you

  21. So sorry to hear your sad news, please accept my condolences. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Thank you for taking the time to let us know C x
  22. Ive got a spare wheel, bought it on here but it doesn't fit the vibe. Im not sure which model it was bought for but your welcome to try it and see if it fits.
  23. There was a dead frog on top of a mound of dog poo in Dulwich Park a couple of summers ago.
  24. I'm with Vodafone and have a 4s. Just need to go into settings, wifi and turn personal hotspot on. Easy to do and not aware of any additional charges for using it.
  25. As for alternatives......Vodafone have the largest global footprint. I would check which operators have good coverage in the places you visit frequently outside of London.
