  1. Ayres Bakery? Kindred Bakery? Marks and Spencer. Waitrose.
  2. Chelsea Physic Garden. Claridges Hotel. A friend of mine got married there. She had a suite with living, dining room and bedroom.
  3. I would call the TFL number and speak to a human being:- 0207 222 1234.
  4. And they all advertise on the property websites anyway which is going to be most buyers first port of call. If looking to buy then you can do it all over the phone and internet except when it comes to viewing the property. And in lots of cases the owners show it, not the agents.
  5. I agree with Tallulah about the 'type' of male person who doesn't pick up their dog's doings. Those people will also unwrap a chocolate bar and throw the wrapping on the pavement, same with the cellophane from a cigarette pack and food wrappings. But in the park it can quite often be anyone busy on their mobiles who don't watch their dog/turn their back on their dog. I think it could also help if more bins were placed where the stenciled signs are on the pavement.
  6. Don't the bus stop signs say which zone they are in? They used to. And I too thought Zone 3 started after GG roundabout.
  7. To say that you are excited because KFH is going there is extremely odd. They already have a branch in Peckham Rye and Dulwich Village. So why the excitement Munki? And if your relatives had good experiences then why aren't they posting on here?
  8. There was a CPZ consultation a while ago - five or more years I believe. Anyone got the results of that?
  9. Left a sofa outside my house, it was gone within an hour. Had called the council to pick it up beforehand. I wouldn't put anything outside my property, even if it was within property boundary unless I was prepared to lose it.

    Apple MobileMe

Yeah I looked on there for a Virgin number to no avail. The 0844 numbers are quite new......if you call them in the US it is free, as are most calls to any business. I found an alternative no. for Apple but was told that you cannot speak to anyone on MobileMe - you have to message them. That is despite there being an 0844 number.
  11. Kensington and Chelsea don't even provide visitor permits! Camden's are stupidly expensive, like ?20 a day.
  12. They sweep around here at least once a week. I do my own bit though.
  13. With households, it's a lower price for the first vehicle, then it rises for the second. Don't know about a third etc. though.
  14. And then what?
  15. I didn't say you were complaining james84! I was offering an observation on what you had written. It could be that the two estate agents near the roundabout park in roads closer to the station - who knows. Another agent on LL is going to add to the problem. Perhaps local businesses with more than 1 car should pay to park.

Thanks for that. What was/is confusing me is that they seem to send out the renewal notice at different times now which led me to think I was paying twice. Used to be January, not it's November. I also noticed that Apple have 0844 numbers now if you want to call them. 0844 is the new 0870. Since landline phone providers started offering free 0870 and 0845 numbers crafty businesses have switched to 0844 numbers which cost a lot! Virgin Atlantic is one such company.

Is this the same as just having a Mac email address or am I paying extra for it? I have had a mac.com email address for years, and pay a fee every year for it. It seems to have turned into mobileme now and I am confused.
  18. Perhaps the trade-off to living so close to the station is having problems parking near your home. There is an estate agent opposite ED station, and two at the Goose Green roundabout.
  19. Ridgley, ?68 a year is hardly expensive for year round legal services...........
  20. Ram raiding a supermarket? How odd. Thought that was done in stores with high value items.
  21. I live within 5 minutes walk of ED station and I don't have any problems parking on my street. I do not want a CPZ. Edited to say I am surprised there aren't any parking problems, but there aren't! I think the closer you are to LL and Northcross it will be shoppers and business owners especially estate agents as they have more cars than the average business. In a few streets near the station it will be commuters. Derwent, Elsie, Copleston, St. Francis Rd, and one end of Melbourne Grove, which also has a lot of dropped kerbs.
  22. Very nice of Sainsburys to phone you! Maybe you could park in a mother and toddler bay! ;-)
  23. Dorothy, very interesting, but that wouldn't affect all areas in ED would it. How far down does the Dulwich Estate extend? And what kford said is very true and very obvious. I specifically didn't buy somewhere in Derwent Grove because I felt the parking was diabolical. Same with the roads immediately behind LL and off Northcross, like Nutfield Road.
  24. The wardens just whizz around on those little motorcycles - so what would be the problem in them going somewhere else. There are CPZs all around here - Denmark Hill, Peckham, Camberwell.
  25. Are they still keeping their place in Peckham Rye? They are taking over SE London it appears. One in Dulwich Village already...
