  1. A mango is very friendly with avocado/tomato/onion/coriander and lime juice salsa I just made.
  2. Some mangoes are less fibrous than others. I keep meaning to get a mango stoner but haven't done so yet. For a simple dessert squeeze a fresh lime over chopped mango.
  3. Today I was having a coffee, and sitting near a pregnant woman who was smoking next to her toddler. She had a friend with her who was also smoking. The pregnant woman was complaining to her friend that she had seen someone in a car with a baby sitting on her lap instead of being in a car seat. She bitched and moaned for quite a while about how this person obviously didn't care about the baby at all and it was tantamount to child abuse. I managed to restrain myself from pointing out the blinking obvious. The ash from her cigarette was flying over toward me in the wind, so perhaps I should have complained about that. Would anyone else have said something?
  4. Sorry to hear about your purse theft. Where was your bag? Having had one bag theft from a pub when I was a teenager and witnessing many thefts subsequently, I always have a cross the body bag so I know where it and my purse is at all times.
  5. Marsden Rd is a tiny road between Ondine and Oglander so you can't miss the Wildlife Centre.
  6. There was one on Melbourne Grove last year.
  7. I would also be interested in one as well. Think it also stops boilers from furring up.
  8. Adys Rd. although it is SE15 but leads into East Dulwich Road and Crystal Palace Road both SE22. Ditto Maxted Rd. which is also SE15 but leads into Oglander which filters into Adys Rd.
  9. Has anyone ever met eater81? Do you have a job eater81 and if so what is it?

I've called them before and they have done sterling work. Loud party in a garden with speakers playing music at 3 am. Twice, two different houses near me.

  12. Interesting post david_carnell. I often wonder what draws people to certain breeds. For example, why would you want to have a dog that needed to be leashed or muzzled all the time or a dog that you couldn't trust around people or other dogs. I wasn't even aware of the Staffie as a breed until I moved to South London and noticed considerable amounts of them. I asked a woman in the vet one day why she had one - there were at least three in there that day - and she said "they are really good with kids". Then I noticed that they were used as hard man accessories by young men. When did this fashion for Staffies and other bulldog types start? 10-12 years ago perhaps?
  13. I don't understand exactly - the police were questioning him and then he got away? Where do the wardens come into this if the police were questioning him?
  14. Aquarius Moon, So glad you reported the matter. It takes courage to do that. A friend reported a dangerous Rottweiler before - not in this area - who was completely out of control, and who used to attack other dogs and humans, including biting a woman who picked up her small dog to get it away from the Rottie. The owner was a jerk and strutted around with his dog presumably to make him feel better about his short size amongst other things. I was also knocked over by this dog when it galloped up behind me. It took a while but eventually the dog wasn't seen much any more. Was also threatened by the owner, verbally, because he thought I had reported it even though I hadn't. I did report his threat though.

Solitary men don't lurk on that part of the path. And I wasn't on the path at that point. I take it you are not a woman, Steve or is it Stephanie? therefore you wouldn't understand this and lots of other things. It's like men who walk behind a woman on the pavement, usually at night, not overtaking her and not crossing over to the other side of the road. It's frightening for a woman but I wouldn't expect you to understand that. You sound like a real plonker.
  16. This site doesn't exactly fill you with good thoughts towards Staffies:- http://www.ukandspain.com/dangerous-dogs/

There is a difference between biting back and just warning another dog off. And yappy doesn't equal dangerous. Why do you own a dangerous breed? Is it a breed controlled under the Dangerous Dogs Act?
  18. Dubluke, according to one of your posts you were 5 in the mid nineties. That makes you 19 or 20 now. How much experience could you have possibly had as an estate agent?
  19. I would report it. And maybe he is registered with a company that can be told. Maybe there is somewhere they can make a note of his details and then if it happens again he will get fined. In southern California there is a hotline to call if you see anyone throwing cigarettes out of car windows. If it happens twice then they get in trouble. Cigarettes equal fires.

  21. Talktalk has terrible customer service. I wouldn't use them again. BT has good deals on right now and are cheaper than Plusnet who I am with for both phone and broadband. Don't know anything about TV packages as I only have freeview.
  22. Think it is the family who run the Cheese Block and SMBS Foods. They have plans to turn it into a restaurant.
  23. Melbourne Grove has osteopathy and counselling on site. It does have its faults though I think they are trying to address them.
  24. How inconsiderate of him. Did you call Environmental Health?
  25. I wouldn't bother with Clarins. Very expensive for something quite ineffectual. Aveeno is good. And Elizabeth Arden. I also like Lubriderm as a general moisturiser including hands but not available (I don't think) in this country.
