Cheers guys, keep them coming! My recommendation from my recent reads is Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Half of a Yellow Sun, very emotive, good second novel by her, the first being the Purple Hibiscus. Didnt think too much of the one being raved about at the mo called The Interpretation of Murder by Jed Rubenfeld. The author obviously studied Psychoanalysis and was flexing his muscle overmuch in this area although Freud's theories are always worth abit of a read!

Have just finished a mammoth reading marathon (5 books in week and a half). It takes me forever to decide what to buy so would like any suggestions. No particular genre, just something to get your teeth into!! Also does anyone know of any good book clubs going on in ED?

My daughter is just doing final year at JAGS and it has got to be said that both She and us (parents) have found it a great all round school for both academics and pastoral care. Its all about parents attitude to education. You dont have to be pushy if the school is doing a good enough job.

Sounds like a very good idea Lou and very grateful that you have thought about my predicament...unfortunately, like most teenagers, she wouldnt dream of getting her hands dirty. This would have been her 3rd year at Glasto already and like most of us she is fully into the laid backness that is Glasto. Will defo be trying again on the 22nd.

I was in there this Saturday...went in there on Friday and staggered home well into the Saturday...it's like the twilight zone!! Just recovering now.
