  1. But anyway, has anyone eaten there yet?
  2. I used to help out in there a year back and I can tell you it can get quite depressing when you hear a two year old demand a soya milk baby chino in an imperious manner!
  3. Anyone eaten in the new style Drum yet?
  4. Wrong information. They were at nearby restaurant. Not that that makes any difference.
  5. Every parents worse nightmare. Just heard this morning that the parents were down in the disco having left the little one upstairs alone in the room. That will be making the parents feel so bad, poor buggers. Heart goes out to them
  6. Cheers Rob. I will leave it to the experts now. I do like Anthony Bourdain, another Tuscan food addict.:)
  7. Sorry Tom, I do realise you cant get this in situ on Trentitalia, but just thought I would champion some of Tuscanys sublime food. (tu)
  8. Mopped up chin and back for more. What about a Chianchiana steak. I went to an agricultural show last year and met the beasts who originally owned these steaks. They are pure white and stand about seven feet tall. Theyre only reared in Tuscany and only exported to Texas. The best steak I have ever eaten. Here I go again, more kitchen roll.
  9. I dont know where you eat Tom, but I stay in Tuscany for six weeks over the summer and eat like a Lord (Lady actually). Have you ever tried Porchetta, its real Tuscan street fayre, pork slow roasted with fennel etc, just mentioning it is making my chin a bit sloppy:-S
  10. Whats this? A gong bong going on in the quiet room! They say the quiet ones are often the worst. ;-)
  11. Thats reassuring as I have invited my mother for a meal there next week. Embarassing for me when mother goes to war. :-$
  12. Girls changing rooms are generally in better shape than the boys methinks. Although the smell of nappies from overflowing bins wasnt too pleasant.:'(. The size of the pool and price of entry is too good to resist though.
  13. I used to go to Crystal Palace pool regularly and it is fantastic especially in the middle of the day. Me and my two fellow swimmers had the place to ourselves. I remember when I was a little kid watching the great Mark Spitz doing amazing dives off of the top board. Havent been for a good year though.
  14. Refusing to bring tap water infuriates me, my mum would have dealt with this very firmly but telling them that she would pay for bottled water with the tip that she would have left. I know its not necessarily the waiting staffs fault but she usually gets her way. I really like G & B and hope for their own and our sakes that this isnt their policy.
  15. Cant be noisier than cars. I think that sounds like a lovely idea
  16. Like your last choice there Mockney. Whats the name of the singer do you know? sounds really fammiliar
  17. Can I include Mr Daly the dentist on Northcross Road. Finally went to dentist after absence of 20 odd years (hangs head in shame) and chose Mr Daly from some of your (EDF) recommendations. What a sweetie, I was so brave that he gave me a sticker. :)
  18. P.s, i would never sell crack to your kids. I draw the line at cannabis. x
  19. Snorky, you have some VERY weird ideas about small business owners. Of course they're in it to make money, why do you get out of your pit everyday to go to work. Also, we are all governed by the same legislations and the days of exploiting your staff in any way are long gone. Give small businesses a break you mad man(6)
  20. Thats true Simon, although when the site finished could be a potential gold mine. Are they building flats there do you know? I should know this, living next door, but cant remember.
  21. Hope someone local gets their hands on it. It has good potential but has seemed rather sad for the last few years.
  22. Yes Frances it is. Really nice mix of people there. Can get abit crowded but lovely atmosphere and huge gardens at the back too.
  23. Just found it Mark. Its on with Fleurets.
  24. The Rye Hotel has lovely garden. Also if you walk to the Village (not ED I know) the Dog is a lovely, lively place to while away a few hours.:)-D
  25. Cant remember where I saw it but will look through my history now. I know its on for 630k to include the 3 bed flat above
