  1. I think that's called the Millwall brick. Not usually a copy of the Times mind.;-)
  2. I was born and bred in South London and have luckily never been mugged or had any really bad experiences. I have hopefully brought my kids up to be street wise and they're certainly not nervy kids. I do however, like to tell them where to keep an extra eye out for any trouble. The bit about them having phones is a difficult one. I struggled with that for a long time and they certainly didn't have them until secondary school. It's swings and roundabouts really, do you want them to be contactable when they go to the park or are their phones too much of a mugging risk. I think I prefer them to have their phones, not expensive ones, and teach them to give them straight up if they feel threatened.
  3. Loobylou, please don't be put off from posting again. The majority of us see it as helpful information.
  4. It's a great addition to the Lane, nice displays and friendly service.
  5. Dave Grohl. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  6. Thirded.
  7. Jim, I don't want to sound like I'm having a go, but have you got kids old enough to go to the park on their own? If you have, why is it scaremongering? If you haven't can you not see it as abit of a pointer to remind our kids to be slightly cautious. I just feel like it's good community spirit, like telling your neighbour about something they should be aware of.
  8. Happy Birthday Alley Cat and I assume Mr Carnell:)-D
  9. Gotta move with the times dear Snorks or you'll grow old before your time.
  10. Thanks for the tip Ted. Let me know when we're going.:)-D

  12. Of course GG, it will be slightly more genteel than the real thing. Although wet wipes will have to be used instead of loo paper, then I really will think I'm there.
  13. At last, we've found the peeping Tom. Brenda, shame on you.
  14. Ah come on Brum, it was such a momentous occasion.
  15. Or how about those of us that find them helpful and informative look at the thread and share our thoughts and those that don't just ignore them.
  16. It was a great day apart from the football.
  17. It's actually not that funny Bren. Friday nights are becoming abit of a chore to be honest.
  18. Obviously Lenk, I brought em up proper.
  19. I took my (then) 2 year old to Wembley the last time we were there, must be 12 years ago I guess. He slept all the way through it:(
  20. He does it all the time Brendan, I've written many letters about him. Lol Keef...that sounds about right.
  21. It may do Jimmy but then again forewarned and all that.
  22. Sounds great, all round to mine then. We need to get that authentic toilet smell though to really make it work. And some naked painted ladies. I'll start making the pyramid stage to sit the TV on.
  23. Jimmy, it's good for us parents to know so that we can issue a little reminder to our kids to be cautious. I'll certainly be mentioning this to my sons before they go to the park this weekend.
  24. Maybe we should pitch the tents in our gardens Mac and shout "bolloxs" to each other for the night. I'll get the ciders in.
