What is the difference now? Cars parked bumper to bumper and sometimes never moving for days, months or weeks/ So the street has effectively transferred ownership outside a house to a private individual already.

A lot of people live around Trio. Sitting looking at nothing is not the same as Bellenden Village and people. I wish them luck -

I hope you are right? Would have thought people would have used Adys Road. Sitting outside is not the same as in Bellenden Village. -

That is how commercial business operates. If I wanted to open a new business would I be able to have the same rates as trail blazer business? Yummy mummy pressure is not important financial cash flows are the driving force. Form a local co-operative and take it over.

The only "Riots" if you can call them that, more like street punch ups was when the fair came to Peckham Rye on the last Saturday in the middle 60's there was the punch up between locals and the dumb dumbs, all good clean fun. -

And if we did we > wouldn't spend that on this. the difference to the the works on NX Road and other works in the borough is men, equipment and materials were all in the right place at the right time. The Dutch have people who know exactly what needs to be done and it is planned to the last full stop. Again they do not have they same busy roads as we have. I suspect this is in a out of town location -

Yes. I am sure if I put one up just like that it would be taken way immediately if someone complained. How about those people who do not want their street cluttered with street furniture. I think they are a good idea but if 2/3/4/5 houses next to each other on both sides of the street want them what then? But the scheme has not taken off and guidelines laid down. Only time will tell and so far there are very few of them. Question. what right do people have to restrict parking to others on a public highway for their own benefit? -

To site them in places that are not directly in front of houses. I think it is a good idea sited away from front doors as discussed. If one wants and gets it directly outside their house others will as well and we end up with containers all down the street. Its not aways about me me me. -

Posted by LondonMix Today, 11:46AM Exactly, that was my point. I don't think this is a big deal. They have been and can be located in this way. If some people specifically prefer to have them directly in front of their house as they think that's better, then hopefully that could also be arranged at the time of request. What if their neighbours object to the above? a quick Streetview will > uncover bits which aren't located directly > outside someone's front door. So this will be invalid. If they can be sited in places where they are not outside houses fair enough but this plan will be ignored. -

You get more with Southwark because the Borough is bigger? Smaller collections would only result in more being dumped here there and everywhere
